Potential for new plate style bumper from Addicted Offroad

Is there any chance there could be a tire-carrying rear bumper for a 3rd gen (tube or plate) in the near future? I like the look of your rear bumpers (and the front's are pretty awesome too), I just wish it had a tire carrier.

I'm trying every day to convince my wife to let me pull the trigger. Hopefully soon after her maternity leave is over I can. This is the front bumper I need, want, and desire. Looks alone, you guys have hit it out of the ball park!

I'm sorry, its not in the cards at this time. Having three different jigs for every different model will require a much bigger shop.

That being said, IIRC NateMob has a 1/2" body lift on his 4runner and the bumper looks great. I seriously doubt another 1/2" will change the look at all. A 2" on the other hand won't look as good IMO:

Our plan is to keep our current bumper design, but we will have an add on option that boxes in the tube area around the sides. So, basically, its a piece that will simply slide over the current bumper sides and welds into place.

This way you won't lose the strength and structure of the tubing.

I didnt know you had/where going to develop something like this. Is it in the works or just a possibility?

Also, really digging the front bumper, but will have to hold off till the body lift option is out. Ill stay tuned in! :snacker:

He said they tried to make some plates for the rear bumper and didnt come out like they wanted so I think he said they are designing a new plate hybrid rear bumper all together.

Love this truck, pretty much like mine but Im rocking a 1.5" body lift. Im going to paint black under the bumper so it dont stick out as much. I will post pics once I get it mounted up. I hope its not to bad with the gap.

We modified the design and we are now having all of these press bent. These will help with a much better look, less grinding involved, and a more refined bumper. I dropped off a bunch at the press bender and hope to pick them up tomorrow.

I really like this bumper. I'm interested in the new modifications. It looked great before so pics will be nice. Have to order one when you guys get the new design dialed in and in production.

It will look identical to the naked eye as the current bumper. Its just that instead of piecing it together, it will be two pieces. A press bent top, and a single piece bottom. No other changes are being made.
