Powder Coated Wheels

Picked up my TE wheels from powder coating satin black and mounted some BFG KO 265/70r17E

Turned out pretty sweet

Wow, that's a good price.
I was quoted $90-$130 a little over a year ago for my wheels. Glad I didn't go with it. Plastidip has held up well though, may be time for a recoat or find a shop to P/C for your price!

Antman, powder coating is easy, and I'm surprised you haven't done it yourself. You can get a used oven and a powder coat gun for less than the cost of 2 wheels. Powder will depend on the source, but you can find some bulk virgin powder pretty cheap, usually.
Preheat the over to 400 deg.
Thoroughly clean the surface.
Attach lead as required.
Apply powder with the gun.
Carefully move the rim into the oven.
Drink beers for 20-22 mins.
Drink more beers and take the rim out to cool or let it cool in the oven.
Rinse and repeat for all of the rims.
Turn off oven.
I almost set up a larger scale setup myself, but decided not to powder coat the trail wheels I have. If I do, I'll follow the steps above.

I think you are messing with us... I think that is how you bake a pie not a rim... If I try this and break the oven my gf is going to be soooo mad at me....

Looks great! I have been looking for place here locally in Las Vegas to have it done... So far cheapest I could find is $100 a tire plus $20 each rim to unmounting/mount... And I really don't trust a paint shop to balance a duratrac correctly... And I would have to leave the truck on 4 jack stands in my garage for a week while they do this... Which scares me... But all that trouble seems worth it to me with how great your truck looks!

The wheels look great. I'm going to do this but I like the look without center caps. I painted my rear hubs 2 years ago with a simple enamel and it's holding up well.

DO NOT use an oven that you use for food. Get yourself one off of Craigslist.
