I'll take this in a different direction and also point out that you can choose to omit signatures via a setting in the User CP if you don't like them cluttering up your browsing experience.

Personally? I just can't seem to bring myself to care that you have carpeted floor mats or that you have the same three modifications that everyone else on here has.

Good advice. And if you don't care don't read them. But as the OP pointed out, it can be very useful when troubleshooting. Updated mine, and added pretty eye candy to it too.
