Hello every one. I am new here and I try not to be ignorant. So please be easy on me. I created this thread separate from 'Difficult to pump gas' by dgwood12, 2/7/13, because I was not sure whether the problem is related.
I purchased this SR5 exactly two years ago in Texas. I drove to upper NY state same year. What I noticed last winter and this season particular, (with low ambient air temperature being single digit or lower) is that whenever I try to pump the gas full tank, the pump stops pumping even the tank maybe only about 70~80% full. Since the pump nozzles around here are not equipped with the 'latch lever' to allow the gas to flow without holding, I have to keep it squeezing. Even doing so, the pump still shuts off prematually. The fuel gauge appear to indicate full, but the Remaining Mileage display indicates at about 350miles. When the tank is really full, it displays at about 400miles. This never occurred during the warmer seasons. Does anyone encounter the same problem? Or is it something that need fixing or is it typical to this model? Thank you in advance.
