Put Transmission in Neutral at Red Lights?

Ok I looked into it and it makes no difference whether you use the brake, ebrake, uphill, or rock in front of wheel (ok didn't do the rock). The RPM in D stays the same, as the load on the Torque converter is the same. I explained this already above.

Also remeber AC and powersteering plays with idle so factor that it when you look into it. Nuff said.

Thanks for that. I would add that the alternator (depending on electrical load) should also play a factor.
