I am trying to get the clutch pedal Plate off but it seems to be welded to the back of the fire wall. So should I just rip the thing out or what? Any tips will be great!

Don't do it yet! I just took mine out this week to get it welded because it tore and I thought mine was stuck too but there are a few little hidden bolts.

However if you can see weld seems... then good luck.

Wow, I wished REAL hard for an easy answer and there you go. Way to go slow!

Yeah, depending on your year, There are nuts you have to undo inside the engine bay that hold the clutch cylinder on cause the studs go through the firewall and are attached to that bracket. (took me a while to figure that out.) They are pretty easy to get to though, then you have the 4 nuts on the inside of the car that go through and keep the brake master on, (why the studs go different directions between the clutch and brake I have no idea), then there are two bolts inside, one directly above each pedal that go straight up, then one more that is hidden pretty low under the carpet. so 9 by my count. I don't think I'm forgetting any. Let me know how it goes!

Even after you undo all of those its still extremely hard to pull the dang thing. Its easiest to take the clutch and brake pedal off first. Let me know if you got any questions.

oh, lastly the reason you probably think its welded is because those clutch studs that go through. make sure to get those in the engine bay.

Yeah I was wrong

Ok I thought they were welded but they were in the engine bay. Thanks it was a little rough after that but I got it out. Thanks for all the tips. Now just have to weld the plate.

Biggest problem with getting it welded is that it doesn't warp. Mine was torn right where the clutch rod goes through the firewall and then the studs didn't line up when it cooled down. Took a lot of effort to put it back. Good luck!

Two months ago the following happened to me but I have no time to write. One day I prepared for hunting and I decided to uplift, having got into the car and pushed the clutch pedal sank at first thought the brake pump sucks or is a tube in the system is loose. But alas, once looked on every side I saw a plate that attaches the clutch pedal has broken. In this situation the car could not move under its own power and left me nothing but to seek help from a friend. Of tugboat went to the nearest welder CO2. After a long and explain it with great reluctance Blood plate, and said it should be removed and thus saw to make it properly. So the next day with much fear and not trust went hunting. Everything went without a hitch. But I had to find out the reason for the shattering of the plate. After the study found that a factory curve at the bottom of the plate in which resist pedal. And then wonder what unknown to fill this recess decided that the car kit will happen here is the result.
