I'm using the 8210 dash kit you have and I dremeled the bottom panel off right along where the sides of the opening meet the bottom trim on the panel. Sorry for the crappy picture. Works great with my 2330nex

Damn, I guess that was the only option then... I had the kit and was about to snip the bottom trim off, but that looks so ghetto... LOL
Looks or is ghetto? You can barely tell it was cut and not supposed to be like that. To each their own, good luck finding a kit to fit

I'm salty with Pioneer...my nav headunit won't tilt forward so I can insert the maps update. Pioneer quoted me $200 diagnosis just for looking at it.

I was going to say...doesn't look bad to me. I have an 06 Sport and have the 8202 with me right now. I'm going to order the 8210 so if the other one doesn't fit I'll trim and be done. Not sure why the dash openings would be different on 4th Gens but wouldn't put it past any auto manufacturer. Thanks for the pics!
EDIT: So looking at those kits it seems one is for the NON-JBL (8202) and the other is for the JBL(8210). My 4Runner had the Non-JBL so I got the 8202. I'm wondering if the dash openings ARE different then. I'm still going to order the other one JUST in case. Or I'll test fit tomorrow and order if need be.

what radio did you install?
I have noticed if you have the JBL and get the dash kit you usally have to cut the top or bottom of the kit in order to fit the alpine or pioneer 7in displays.
Looking at this kit you have to modify/cut if you use one of those bigger touch display models

I got the Sony XAV-AX200 and I'm now a huge fan. I integrated it with an idatalink Maestro which integrates with my JBL well and is awesome. The only thing it doesn't do well is adjust bass.
It's got 3 camera inputs. I've been meaning to add a front camera, just don't know how to actually run it yet. But my steering wheel controls can bring up any camera on command which is sweet.
They also just updated the software to where I could change color of the buttons which allowed me to match the factory color well enough.

metra just came out with a newer version of this kit, it lets you either cut the top part off or leave it in. check out the catalog.

Which install kit did you use? I just got the same unit and the Scoshe install kit gets in the way of the knob.
Also, can you post a picture of your color settings for the buttons? I can't get the right combo of RGB to match the factory amber.

I have the same one.
I LOVED the plug-n-play feature.
Installed it in a matter of minutes!
What I don't like is the VOLUME of the Bluetooth.
You have to crank the sh*t out of it to hear a caller...
which means you have to turn it down real fast when the call is over,
or you'll blast your ears.
The navigation was "meh"...until I got the latest map update and upgrade.
Works much faster now.

I used the metra one. It’s flat, which is functional but doesn’t look great. I have an urban runner trim to which looked awesome, but gets in the way of the knob too.
RGB on mine is 12/6/2. Not perfect, but you can mess with it from there.
