Rausch Creek - June 23, 2013

it was great to meet [MENTION=76166]Qjake[/MENTION], [MENTION=86190]Alex T4R[/MENTION], [MENTION=48772]Jesse1983[/MENTION] and see [MENTION=49537]4ShoreRunner[/MENTION] and [MENTION=51030]joneseyyy[/MENTION] again. We had a blast. I brought my son with me and surprisingly he was really good. Just pop his dvd player with his fav show and open the windows when its not dusty and he's a happy camper. My dad and bro was with me too, my dad was actually impressed on how huge the park is and surprise on how rocky "Green" trail can be. He was thinking to bring his stock 100 series lx but i told him to check out the trail first so he can decide. But after what he saw he is now hesitant, so we might go up to Wharton State Forest instead on his next trip lol. Anyway, hope to join you guys next time. Btw, great looking rigs everybody! keep it up!

I'm pretty sure those dates will work for me. I'll check my schedule. Figure I'll head down on that Friday and wheel on that Saturday?

Joseph becareful at Wharton State park, there is a lot of deep waters that can really damage your truck.

stock limited is upgrading soon

[MENTION=76166]Qjake[/MENTION] has gone so many times that you really have no excuse to not go!

the trails were good. we didn't hit anything very difficult, though we may have, had our trip not ended a little early.

For anyone wondering, one guy (I forget his name and don't know if he's on here) was with us in a stock limited. there was only one spot where he damaged his rocker a bit and probably dented his skid. He probably would have had more issues on the second half of the run. point being, the abilities of a stock 4Runner are pretty impressive.

My names chris i own the stock limited. just signed up for the forum had a great time, The rocker was scratched on the bottom part and thats all, i cant even notice it unless i am underneath. ill post a pic, for you guys to see. we gotta do it again once i hook the suspension up.

SH*T HAPPENS UPDATE!

.....sound couldn't be duplicated at Bobby's shop...and the suspension bits checked out ok.

Not sure what the deal was but I appreciate everyone's help, concern, and tools while at Rausch. Hopefully it doesn't happen again!

Also, you guys can flame [MENTION=68685]Ducmonsta[/MENTION] bc apparently he had my 4Runner flexed out on a forklift in order to get the suspension completely compressed and he didn't even bother to take a picture!

We could have used that picture to post on all of the "Is KDSS better?" threads lol

that's good, I guess. Still worrisome because there was definitely something going on. I assume [MENTION=68685]Ducmonsta[/MENTION] checked all the LCA bushings as well?

Yup. Even checked each coil visually for any cracking. No contact from sway bar or endlinks to coils. Lubed the steering stops. Made sure the UCAs weren't broke again. Checked the torque of the upper strut bolts (all four). Even looked to see if the coils were getting caught on the shock body (4Shore has the 5100s).

You know I met up with Steve Meihaus on Fort Belvoir, who told me about the ride last year, but I wasnt available last week..... Man This looks like it would have been a great time! I'll have to catch the next trip for sure. I Saw a Metalic grey SR5 with lift and Guantlets, and nFabs with the license plate 4RUN3R.. anyone know who that is? I tried to catch up to him/her but couldnt. On another note, thanks Duc for the help on the ABS sensors on my 3rd Gen, found a junk yard and grabbed both sides for $60!

update

check out the rocker panel, its all good. i felt out of place without the lift and seeing your 4 runners all customized. so went and ordered the toytech lift kit and also some wheel spacers, just received it all today. install is scheduled for monday. im exited!!!

Man I'm sorry I missed this. I've got 4Runner withdraw right now living across the country from my truck. Let's do this again when I'm back on the east coast this fall!

I saw this video today and had to re-post. a821e277.mp4 Video by jesse1983 | Photobucket It is the same exact spot where Jesse dare Ben to go through and last year he said to his daughter he won't do it because Dave and Billy just showing off. Well i guess Jesse your daughter missed this one.
