Drag racing with passengers.... I know what you are getting at since the real world isn't drag racing but the RAV4 is still quicker in the 1/4 miles due mostly to weight and it's AWD launch and it would be interesting to see a Runner vs RAV4 drag race but with driver and three passengers in each.

IMO the RAV4 still would be a tad quicker since the weight diff is in favor of the smaller Toyota.

I wish I had video of my 4R racing a buddy's Civic up a 4 lane mountain pass towing the boat absolutely taped.....put that in your mpg threads and smoke it hahahha.....I bet I was getting a solid .2mpg

But without a real test I'll say you guys might be right. (notice the "might")

So... what mods should a 05 v8 get to smoke a new Rav for sure?

I bet the VVT-i V8 would do just fine against a Rav with a performance filter and catback exhaust. I will look forward to gobbling one up
