Real Hi/Lo Beam LED bulb! AWESOME!

Ive been running mine all day and night while driving for a couple weeks to less than 2 months? now and have seen no issues. I'll report here if it ever fails or run into any issues involving these.

Mine have worked out pretty good as well. Maybe there was just a "bad seed" in one of the units shipped. I love mine the more I see how bright and white they are......especially since I didn't drop some $60 on SilverStars. Every bulb will fail but the $$$ I have spent on halogen bulbs over the life of my truck could probably pay for a nice weekend get-away.....

I also do not miss that "yellowish" headlight color........feeling real "uptown" with the whiter LED color...LOL.....

Sounds good. I put in the replacement bulbs, so far so good also . Maybe I got a dud the first time.

I have to say I'm just amazed at the light output - super bright, but with a very distinctive cutoff that does not go above other cars' trunks.

To be fair, these will never compete with HID projectors for uniformity, intensity, and sharpness of cutoff. But at $35, they're not meant to be in the same league, and do quite well at 1/10 the price of the projectors.

That is good news and objective evidence. For the price and light output, I am enjoying these things more and more. It's like my T4R - I enjoy it every time I get in it. Took it to Costco today for tire rotation and balance and when the technician drove it out, he said; "This is an awesome vehicle man! Wish I had one! You wanna sell it?" I just laughed and told him they will probably bury me in it as I will drive it til I am dead...LOL

Tisk, tisk LittleCaesar. You can not simply "dip them" in LiquiMoly! You must soak them for at least 48 hours. During the soaking time, you must find a real Romanian gypsy to shed her tears over them once they are dry. Then (and only then!) can you install them......LOL

CAVEAT: For everyone reading this and thinking "WTF?" This is an ongoing tit-for-tat between LittleCaesar and I with respect to a German oil additive I tried out...DO NOT (and I repeat) DO NOT take this seriously....the soaking in LiquiMoly I mean.......

You know i've mentioned heat and boot no boot I did check at fill up's how hot they got. Should have brought my IR temp gun, they get hot and stay hot running 3/4 tank of gas, Interstate, Forestry roads 20-30 mph stayed same. Barring the infant mortality when the cooling fan goes so go the lights, I think.

Sorry in advance for the noob questions, but I'm assuming these bulbs work with hi beam and lo beam?

Any heat disapating issues? Do they get so hot to the point that it will be hazardous to use the rubber boots?

I got a set of LEDs ( not this brand) for xmas last year and when I put them in, the high beams worked but the blue high beam light on the dash didnt work. I drove for about 50 miles with the high beams on and didnt know it. Do these have that issue?
What about the fog lights? The other set I have also wouldn't trigger the fog light relay. Do these?

I chide the OP since he has used every, if not at least 90% of the engine additives out there in his crankcase, then gets on the forum and emotes their praises and attributes. I find it funny but some of the stuff I have used does have merit, including products by Liqui Moly like their Mos2 friction modifier.

Yes.

On the way home from a weekend trip to the mountains I had my lights on in the late afternoon. My bro-in-law was driving in front of me for a bit and said I was blinding him. Only the next day I realized the light switch stalk must have gotten bumped, but the blue high-beam light on the dash wasn't illuminated.

I like the way you can integrate "LiquiMoly" in your "90%" of your comments......

I would not say I have used "90% of the engine additives out there" but I have tried a few. My engine is still alive and getting great mileage so no harm, no foul......at 306K+....

They are for Hi and Low beam....yes.....

There are a few on the thread that talk about them getting hot....read through the posts......

I touched the backside of mine after they operated for about 90 mins, no hotter than anything else under the hood (not touching the engine), I could hold my hand completely around the backside without needing to pull away, so not really 'hot' like a radiator.

The lens not doesn't get warm like it did with halogens.

No worry's on them getting so hot they melt boot. I've mentioned heat a few times, @jgue described it well. I mentioned heat from a point of restricting air flow across ballast which could shorten life of bulb or kill it. For us to get and give a honest review on the performance of the bulbs. With some of us using boot some not adds another layer on the review process. Think we have short term covered, on to long term, hope folks report back if they fail or not 6 months down the road.

Thanks for the code! At that price, it's worth trying them out and see how they work. If I don't like them, I could always swap my current bulbs back in.

Agreed. For folks still curious, here's the before/after of my install. I drove around the city tonight with no issues, cutoff seems to be in the right place, and the DRL's still worked for some reason :shrug:
