I have been browsing and posting on forums for 10 years now, and I have never felt the need to ignore someone, but that guy just went on my ignore list! You should do the same.

As for this new law, it makes every pistol illegal except revolvers. I wonder if speed-loaders are exempted! Both of my current SD pistols would become illegal, which is insane. Imagine being considered a law abiding citizen one day, and then the next you are someone committing a felony by merely possessing that which you have lawfully possessed previously! This was the case with prohibition, and we all saw how well that worked out.

I have the right to own firearms, anyone has the right to NOT own firearms if they choose. I also have a responsibility to ensure that I train with my firearm and learn to use it proficiently, so that I can use it for it's intended purpose, protection!

I have just recently discovered that "ignore" function. Like you, I've been browsing forums for about as long and only felt the need to use that function recently (though not on the person in question). It's sheer bliss.

Name me ONE good reason why anyone wants to live in Kali? Don't get me wrong...it is a beautiful state that i would VISIT on vacation...but why on earth would anyone want to LIVE there? Cost of living is sky high. Jobs are hard to find. Housing sucks. And you have all these shitty rules and laws. Oh yeah, anyday now, an earthquake will hit...and could sink the whole state.

I heard the same things about Obama getting reelected, and in the end the people who thought like this didn't go to the ballot box in large enough numbers to make a difference. That's exactly what the anti-gun backers are counting on now. If you don't want it to happen, contact your representatives today. And again next week. And again the week after that. That's true...how many Republicans thought that Obamacare would never get passed and certainly the Supreme Court would cut it down...boy, were we wrong!

It is unfortunate you feel this way. But the reality that a press conference by a senator doesn't equal a passed law. Even in CA this would not pass.

I am an advocate of the truth which is
1) Obama is not a dictator despite what you may believe and
2) Over 60% (Wiki sources say 63.8% of the 30,000+ deaths) of the annual Gun deaths in the US are due to suicide.
3) Violent crime in the United States is still falling year over year even counting 2012.
4) Mass shootings have been around for decades. As a portion of the death-by-gun statistics they make up a near 0 percentage (something like 50 deaths out of over 30,000 per year)

Does anyone know about University of Texas mass shooting by a single person in 1966. He killed 14 people.

If you take a step back and look at the picture as a whole, you will see what I mean.

I heard the same thing about both candidates. Unfortunately, one appeared to have a little too much baggage.

These proposals are something completely different. The requirements are so ridiculous and intrusive that they equal something like attempting to ban all vehicles that get less than 30mpg. It is a waste of California's already dried up resources. This is why it will never happen. Feel free to call me out if it does.


I also wish people would realize that we need to lose the political parties. There's no possible way we can better this country when each side has its own priorities. What is the appeal? Is it peer pressure again? Everyone around us is Republican (or Democrat) so we force ourselves to agree with them in fear that if we disagree, we will be shunned? Is it to feel important?

Republicans, ask yourselves... why do you really hate Gays, hate other religions, love guns, and love those with money when you have none yourself?

Democrats... why do you agree with the complete opposite?

See where I'm going with this? I DO NOT limit my beliefs and opinions to one side. Guess what? I'm fine with Gay marriage. I love guns. I'm respectful of all religions. I believe abortions should be legal within reason. I believe business drives our country and these guys being paid millions do deserve it to some extent because of all the jobs they have created.

Do not lump me into a single category. I am an American. I am free, and I have the choice to believe in what I want. I ask you all to look at yourselves and tell me, without lying, if you truly can say the same.

When it's simply someone you don't like or don't agree with that you want to ignore, I guess "mental ignore" is fine, and that's what I've been doing with people in those categories since I started using the internet.

But when someone thinks they know something about everything, feels the need to post their close-minded, uninformed 2 cents on every topic, and seems to exist on a forum for no other reason that to start arguments....that's when I find the "ignore" function to be a handy one.

Anyone who doesn't see that:

1) either side pushes just as much propaganda as the other,

2) either side can be just as full of shi% as the other, and

3) refuses to listen to an opposing argument because they're so in lock-step with their party platform

... is part of the continuing problem and the reason why there will never be a solution.

Unfortunately, being open-minded and thinking for oneself is a practice which seems to have become extinct in the last 20 years.

I live at the beach and can surf in the morning and snow ski within a 2 hour drive that afternoon, the beach house property tax bill is 1,500 for the year but to get that it was passed down thru the generations. World class restaurants and amusement parks. The Ortega Highway a sport bike / sports car awesome road is 40 minutes away. What few guns Führer Feinstein allows us to keep we can shoot in the desert a hour and a half away. Off roading is top notch.

The liberals and "other" groups have turned this once proud state into a cesspool but some parts are pretty awesome. But being poor in this state must suck. Private school is a must.

That said I had to buy property in a other state to have really cool weapons for myself and my sons.

Weather is unbeatable , never too hot or too cold. Board trunks, gun t-shirts and flip flops 365 a year.
 
So they would prefer you use bullets that over-penetrate? :confused:

If I were you guys I'd get the f out... and carry a pair of Raging Judges in the meantime. :frog:
