Rear Air Suspension / Possible Problem

OK, I have had my new T4R for just over a week now & I have a question about the rear air suspension. When I tell the RAS to lift the rear, it does it seamlessly. But when I tell it to go down, or when the truck levels itself downwards, the rear seems to "catch." By that, I mean it feels like it stutters when it is going down. It feels like it is not right at all & it makes me think that it is actually doing some kind of damage to the RAS. Is this normal?

If I am not explaining it right, let me know & I can be more descriptive.

Jerky is the perfect word I was looking for. So that is normal? I would think it woud be as smooth going down as it is going up.

It only worries me because I feel like it is grinding something against something else that should not be doing that.

Can anyone else confirm the RAS being jerky when going down? I value koz's opinion & I am confident that he is right, but I would like to get a second (or third, or fourth) opinion.

My goodness! If you look at Koz's signature, you will see that he also has the auto leveling air suspension. I'd like to think he wouldn't try to BS another member on here. If you would like to reassure yourself.....then you could take it back to the dealer for their BS runaround.

Okay, just came in from the garage, where I ran the rear up to full high and then back down to full low. Going down, I could detect the tiniest trace of jerkiness/vibration. It may have been my imagination, it was so subtle.

My truck now has 52 K miles. Yours sounds brand new, so what you're feeling may be a break-in issue. I'd not worry about it. You have a ton of time and mileage left on your warranty. Relax and enjoy your nice new truck.
