Rear wiper post broken- how hard a fix?

So my first time taking my new to me 99 through the car wash, the rear wiper was ripped off the vehicle, broke the post that protrudes from the rear hatch. How difficult/expensive is this to fix? Any write ups? I didn't find anything with the search..

It appears that I need the rear motor assembly, about $220 from McGeorge. Can anyone give me an idea how difficult this swap is? I have some tools and have done a few things, just wondering how hard it is.

You could go to a salvage yard and remove a used motor.

This would also allow you to see how it is removed.

You'll have to remove the interior hatch trim panel - be prepared for the push pins that hold the trim panel and possibly the panel (push pin mount locations) to break.

I had a door panel mounting tab break when removing it and repaired it using my my plastic welding kit.
