Replace shocks

I need new front shocks on my 94 T4R. Im gonna do it myself. Looks simple enough. Looks like there are 2 nuts to unscrew. The bottom one is maybe 22mm? Something close to that I think. The top one is the pain. I tried to unscrew it last wkend but no luck. I read somewhere else online that it was best to just cut through the top bolt rather than try to unscrew it. So that's what I'm planning to do. With a hacksaw, the old-school way. Anybody got insight on this? I'd love to hear it. Thanks.

Yes a pain I thought about doing the same...However I just kept bending back and forth until the top just gave in and snapped...hacksaw sawzall is the way to go much easier. Driver side was much easier. Watcha putting in? I just put OME HD suspension. Love it plus panhard drop and diff drop and sway bar kit. Good Luck. Yes 22mm is correct.
