replacing gauges in 2012 limited 4r

Let me start by saying the truck isn't purchased yet, my gf is going from a 2006 Tacoma 4x4, to a 2012 4runner limited 4x4, she loves the runner minus the gauges she says they nauseate her, I was wondering if anyone knows of a company that will change the gauge style?

to something more like the 4th gen, with "upright" numbers:

ultimately I'm sure the gauge layout will have to remain the same, but the sideways numbers bother her the most. I Emailed a few companys and haven't received 1 reply back. hope you guys can offer some help. thanks.

I see your complaint, but just so you know the gauges in a limited will not look like your first picture. They will be optitron gauges - which everyone (including myself) really loves.

You could buy a trail edition instead, my speedo numbers at not slanted.

The 2012 Limited has optitron gauges, which are different than those in your picture. I think those are the SR5 gauges. The optitron gauges are much better in my opinion.

ok, thank you!!! we test drove the Sr5, but she liked the features and looks of the limiteds, just didn't have time to drive one, I hope she will like those gauges better, we appreciate it.

the numbers on that youtube link are slanted as well... OP stated they want the numbers to be "upright"... but I do like those gauges better than my SR5

It may be cheaper and less work in the long run to just get a new gf.

Interesting phenomenon. I know some members have had their dash apart several times ... I wonder if new numerals could be screened over the old ones.

Although my slanted ones don't bother me, the upright style is easier to read.

Just as an afterthought, and I'm being serious here - is it possible your gf has an eyesight issue? ...... or a glasses Rx that is off?
