Reverse Lights

I replaced the bulbs as shown in this link, but they seem to be worse than the stock bulbs. The link is a couple of years old, but thought I'd give it a try anyway. Is there a better/newer bulb that WORKS?
Also considering replacing the puddle bulbs. (The ones in the rear view mirrors)

I recently have purchased this brand for reverse lights and cabin lights. Incredibly bright and very good quality so far.

Can't speak for the reverse lights but I can recommend the Fire Flye LED kits on Amazon. For interior and puddle lamps. The Seller is top notch.

The lights in the above posts look good. I don't remember which I used, but I had to check the lumen output of the original bulbs, then make sure I ordered LEDs with a much higher rating. If you don't, you may get white lights, but not any brighter. I changed mine one at a time and the difference was very noticeable. Shop by lumen count.
Found my old order, they were either 1,500 or 2,000 lumens. I ordered for the T4 and our Sienna, but not sure where they went.

Rigid makes a diffused light kit- tap the hitch for power, turn on with shift to reverse, add a relay to dash switch and it doubles as tailgater repellent

Thanks for the post about the Rigid’s. I cannot see when backing up in dark rainy conditions. Actually think I remember an old post about this. Love the tailgater option!

Look into Diode Dynamics tail as turn mod. I did this to mine, and love it. So much brighter than stock, and much more cleaner looking without the amber bulbs. Pretty cheap mod to do as well.

The Rigid’s are diffused and white. Someone put them in the valence I remember . Tail as a turn is a good option.

I got the same bulbs as Redrunner above. They are at least twice as bright as the stock bulb and replacing takes 30 seconds as you just have to pry off the plastic cover and can twist out the bulb without taking the tail light off. Definitely recommend if you want a cheaper option than diode dynamics and the tail to turn.

Rainy nights are another good thing about these. Backup camera is useless on a rainy or snowing night. These lights let you use side and rearview mirrors to see what's going on. Also in my rear camera, even soaking wet I can see a spot where I always stop the rig in the garage. I hate guessing and have to move it!

Long L bracket from Menards. Thick gauge bolted to the 4runner frame bolt. Hitch has 12vt power source a black wire and the reverse trigger is yellow

This is the link. You can spend $50 to $230. I just went for it. My backup lights are now like headlights. Definitely recommended.

Your welcome but can't take credit. Ford truck forums were doing that 5 years ago. I just move them from rig to rig.if your brave enough to cut your bumper they make a flush mount too
