Rewiring Power Outlets

Does anyone know if there is a straightforward way of rewiring one or both 12V outlets so that they are hot all of the time (not tied to the ignition switch)?

You could simply cut the hot lead and splice it to another wire that is always hot...or run it to the fuse block.
