RIGID Hyper Spots bolted to CBI hood mounts

I forgot to mention this, but during the install of the lights, I popped the vented plastic cover off that runs along the entire top of the engine bay (sits below the wipers) and that is where i ran the wires for the lights. The wires are very well hidden in that little spot.

Looks awesome. How bad is the hood glare with those lights? Cause I have 100w Hella 500s driving pattern and I get some hella bright hood glare (pun intended lol:D)

Thank you, appreciate the compliment.

The only thing I can say about the brackets is when you install them have someone ready to catch your hood. When i loosened the two bolts on the passenger side my hood came crashing down. It took everything i had to hold that hood up. Pinched my fingers/hand etc... it really sucked. And my hand still hurts. So i jammed a piece of 1x1 that was 8 feet long under the hood and to the floor to hold the hood up. Installing these is really a two man job, Can be done by yourself, but i don't recommend it.

I am surprised more folks are not running these. They are in a great location for spots and i think look better than light bars. Just my opinion.

Thanks for the heads up! yeah aesthetically I think these are the best looking by a long shot.

Just ordered the hood scoop mount from C4 Fab. Has a post floating around in here. Ordered the Rigid 10 inch RS2 Hyperspot....

This should be fun. Will have it in i hope this weekend with pics.

Ahhh shit, they are 50 dollars less than i paid for mine. I am contacting these guys and asking for the difference. Only one pair left. Better get them now!

Amazon.com: Rigid Industries 32241 D2 XL Hyperspot Light, (Set of 2): Automotive

Thanks the GF saw that price and was like ummmm no. I said do I not work for a living and make my own money she walked away slamming doors HAHAHHA. I guess its pretty safe to assume she's going to be even more pissed when she finds out I ordered 2 rigid 30in bars and 40in bar :bounce: The credit card took a notable hit

That stuff with the opposite sex doesn't ever stop as long as there are toys to be bought, even when you get married. As long as i can prove to her that i put more money in savings and in my IRA then what i spent on toys in a year then she seems to calm down a little. just a little.

just have these handy:
sorry dear, yes dear, i have no idea what i was thinking, you are always right, i should have listened to you, got caught up in a moment of weakness, saw something shiny and got distracted, and for the finishers: Did you lose weight?, Did you get your hair cut?, wow that make-up looks amazing on you.

Yeah, i can BS pretty good. But after 20 years you learn real quick how to Cover Your A$$. Like some kind of a Jedi Mind Trick. But we all know none of it works, they just like to see us squirm.

Tho she is only concerned cause we are moving from chicago to GA this year and paying a second mortgage on a house we aren't in yet i see her issue somewhat :bounce:

Thanks Angelina for packing the box up nice and neat.
and to Thanks to Sepehr for checking to make sure the light worked before packaging.

This light is a beast in case you are wondering. 10" SR2 Hyperspot.
Throws light out almost 900 meters.

Should have it installed by the end of the weekend.

I am going to put a little write up on the install with another thread.

It was not hard to do this. very simple, just make sure you get some plastic rivets to hold the hood insulation on. You will have to take the insulation off to mount this thing.

Thanks.

Decided to get the Rigid Security bolts put on the lights tonight. Not a big improvement to securing the lights. but security none the less. Will put pics on later tonight.

Here is the Rigid security bolt kit 40283 for the pillar lights.

This kit concerns me a little because for $24 (retail is $39?) you get two bolts and two adapters. SO... you have to buy two kits for a pair of lights.

In my opinion i think that is bad business on Rigids part. $500 plus dollars for a set of lights and then they nickle and dime you for four small pieces of metal. Rigid should just include them in the light kit. Just thought i would bring that up in case an employee from Rigid reads this. At least no one can take them off my 4 Runner now... (yeah right) haha.

And a special thanks to "Player" for packaging these up. With out Player's hard work and devotion these items would have never made to to market.

This is the chunk of wire that gets cut out of the FJ switch. It is a relay and as long as it is used in line the lighted switch will not work properly. I mentioned this earlier in the thread. Just wanted to share.
