Ripcord's 2002 Sport Ed. Version 2.0

Your photos somehow made it onto my instagram feed so i'm typically looking at them on my phone and amazed. Looking at it on my retina display on my laptop makes them even better. Great photos. You are making us all envious! Good job and keep on sharing!

I'm sure we'll meet this summer, our mutual friends circles overlap quite a bit! And I'm sure you know CO as well or better than me, I only know my neck of the woods and usually everything is too broken/slow to want to go much outside of that haha.
Yeah I have no idea how we haven't met yet haha. I am sure we will this year!

i really want to hit some trails out here in Colorado. if yall ever need a extra tail rider holla!!
Wouldn't take much to get a decent group together for a run.
Keep an eye on the "Colorado Toyota 4x4" Facebook group, that's where most of the runs start from.
Also "TRC: Toyotas Rockin' Colorado" as a secondary group on facebook.

I am glad you like the photos, fun times!

====================================================

I am close to coming to market with a kit (for '01-'02 4runners) and wanted everything perfect for that. Expect an update in the next week or two on that.

I am also looking for 1996-2000 4Runners in the Denver area who want to lend me their 4Runner to make a platform for those years. You would of course receive the final product as compensation.

Sign me up when they're available! I have a 1998 and want to put in a fuse box just like yours, I'll use your procedure as a guide. I also remember seeing another thread here somewhere with a lot of electrical diagrams for adding new circuits but I can't find it, anyone know the one I'm talking about?

I could be your guinea pig Jim, just let me know.

PM me your number and some days you are free over the next week. Even a few hours in the morning or afternoon will do.

I will definitely make it known when I have a kit ready.

I'll be a customer whenever they're on the market, Jim! Planning on doing any options, color / cutouts etc?

I am not going to custom make each platform's design, but I have 8 variations of the 01-02 design for whatever setup you are running. And yes I will have color options for a small fee.

If you need another older 3rd gen to validate your work on Twan's, my 97 is yours anytime. Just text me.

Ive been looking for a way to mount my Blue Sea fuse block, this is the cleanest way I've seen so far! When they're available for sale sign me up for one.

Awesome build thread btw :thumb:

Trucks is super clean and the details are on-point. Always enjoy a well organized build thread too! I'll be watching this...

Curious, ever sell the S4?

Thanks, Addison!

I did sell the S4. When I first moved to Denver I was staying in a studio and was only allowed one vehicle. I might pick up another soon though, sure do miss that car.

What exactly did you do to tap into the ignition fuse slot? Is that a Piggy-back fuseholder?

That is just an add-a-circuit, you can pick them up at auto parts stores.

The way it works is to tap into the circuit of the fuse it is plugged into and add another with the wire leading off to whatever you want to connect it to. The part also has a second fuse so that the original circuit you tapped into stays as it was before.

I just finished up the wiring on my 97. The issue with using your design is gonna be the charcoal canister. I've been looking at your idea and wanted to do something similar. That damn canister prevented that(for me at least). I found another way to do it that looks very clean. I don't want photo bomb your thread but if you want to see some photo's or talk about how I did mine I'd be happy to.

I have spent a few days under the hood of the 96-00 style 4runners taking measurements, I knew that would be an issue before I even started..

I have a decent design working, just need to get back from some time off to finish everything up on it.

I thought so! Thank you!
Did you remove your power inverter?
