dude that sounds interesting! how many gallons are you gaining from that?? i keep hearing that T4R can only hold 15.5 Gal. but i have made it to 19 before

Yeah idk where try keep getting that from. Mine I 18.5 gallons but I think the older third gems where smaller but don't quote me on that. And actually it is about the same size. It is a 18 gallon reserve tank from 90s f150. But it fits up between the frame wells in the back after cutting the spare tire bracket off. Only hangs down an 1 to two inches.
The switch out is done on this runner. Addicted built this one.

HEY! does anybody know where to get the mounting brackets used in this install?!? i called a toyota stealership and they said that it is discontinued?

Alright so I made my own brackets out using a 4' piece of 1/8" x 3/4" steel. The 4 pieces that I cut were:
2- 4"
1- 8"
1-13"
with holes centered by width and a 1/2" from the end.
The 8'' and 13'' cross and bolt into the center piece in front of the A/C cooler
This piece bolts to the outside temp sensor (at least that is what I think it is?)
This one bolts on the A/C mount on the top of the drivers side.
I will be painting the metal today since the weather finally got decent. Other than that it is going on this week along with the temp gauge. So there you have it.

had 60's to day so spent the day on the install. Here are a few of the finished pic.
I know there are a lot but I am very happy to get this done. Also (no pic) I used the stock return line to connect the two ends of the old cooler in case of internal leaking. A BIG thanks goes to BFAD and 4-Ripcord for their write up's on this, very helpful. The gauge is the last thing I have to install and then its on to the rear bumper. Last thing I lost hardly any trans fluid so thats good!

well the 16th i went to the Big Meat Run in Disney, OK. needless to say i had a blast although i did not do a whole lot. My former scoutmaster has a international scout that he built up and so i tagged along for fun. i did receive a small bit of damage to the receiver hitch....it got a small dent in it and took off a little of the paint in a 1" area. with that being said here are a few terrible pictures i was able to snag. my camera that i have had for years finally bit the dust so i gotta start looking for a replacement. im thinking nikon or cannon.

well it has been slow going but here is a small update on my Runner. The tranny cooler is doing fine (I have yet to get the gauge in 
)and I plan on being in Colorado in July sometime so I went ahead and ordered a roof rack. we'll see how things go from here.

:whoo: I got my roof rack in today and tossed it on, the mounting screws had paint in the threads which made it a PITA to screw on, other than that I just need to get a wind fairing. Ill probably just make my own. Anyways here is a shot till I get some proper pictures up.

well I finally got the temp gauge in and it doesnt work but all the wiring is good so time to trouble shoot. I think its the sending unit....any ideas on the why the gauge won't work?

well its been a while since iv been on. spent a week in Colorado just chilling it was amazing as always. so iv been thinking how to light up back country roads so i went with LEDs started looking and found these on Amazon for a good price. i had a friend look over everything to double check its validity and then i ordered them. just put them on and im happy with the result also i cant wait to try them tonight! they are crazy bright :laser: ill get some pictures up soon.

well here they are! they went on great. i just set them on my roof for a dry fit so to see where placement would look best. i have to keep my sunroof closed though, the splash from the floods will get inside haha.

went to atwoods and picked some steels to fab up a bracket since i did not want to drill.
loose mock up of where they will go.
no roof drilling for me! so i just ran it down the door and made a pin hole cut to slip the wires through and under all that trim, up under the dash to the switch.
and here they are all lit up.

all of my lights on but my stock fogs, the driver side one is not working so i gotta fix that.
just LEDs it is at least 150 yards and about 170 degrees to the side
action shot...
cant beat the price for the lights and the output. and the other day at work, a jeep came in with the round version of these. The real test will come the 16th when my friend (who helped me with my front bumper) and i will go to Disney for a night run.

??? I don't remember posting about a timing belt recently? Someone else posted about how their belt was off the marks though.. that's all I can think of. I have a bad memory sometimes though so remind me if I missed what you're talkin about.

well disney was a blast. nobody broke anything although one guy was burning oil like crazy! we wheeled from about 7:00pm to 2:00am

i had a thread about maintenance after 200k and i believe you said something about check the timing belt and and another belt. :shrug: suspension stuff and shocks, i was thinking that if i needed to replace suspension to go with OME
