The finance guy told me there isn't any road side assistance when he was trying to sell me a warranty with RSA. A recent commercial suggested you get 25K maintenance and RSA with a new vehicle purchase. Curious what you find as it would be dissapointing to pay to have a tow while still under warranty.

I was under the impression, that through the SOS button we would get roadside assistance. Since we have the first year free, wouldn't we get roadside assistance for one year.

Has anyone else heard this, or am I completely off base?

we don't have SOS button here in Canada, but we got the following here (should be similar in US I think):

To Receive Roadside Assistance, Call
1-888-TOYOTA-8
(1-888-869-6828)
For 36 Months or 60,000 kilometres*
Mechanical Breakdown Towing
(To your preferred Toyota
dealership within 50 km or to the
nearest Toyota dealership within
300 km.)
Accident Towing
(To your preferred Toyota
dealership within 50 km or to the
nearest Toyota dealership within 300
km. A second tow will be
provided, if necessary to the
accident-reporting centre.)
• Boost a dead battery
• Provide key lockout service
• Deliver gasoline if stranded
• Change a flat tire
• Winching from a ditch

I can't speak for the vehicles without SOS, but with mine, I get 1 year of Road Side Assistance included with my "1 year" trial of SOS service. Honestly, after the year is over, I doubt I'll renew it. It seems a bit pricey to me for the services offerred.
