I noticed something strange tonight while wiping my wheels dry after a wash. Some of the spokes and spaces between them felt rough, like a very fine grit sandpaper. Most of the wheels were smooth to the touch, but a couple had this feel to it. I've used plain ole Meguiars Gold Class car wash to wash my wheels on a weekly basis, just like the OEM manual says to, so I'm not sure how that would take the "smooth" feel away. The appearance on those areas are similar to the other parts of the wheel.
Anyone else have this issue with our stock wheels? Particularly the 20" limited, but I image they are the same finish as the 17" SR5s. And if so, has it caused an issue over time. I've only had my 4R since Feb. of this year.
I'm thinking I should put a coat of Wheel Wax on just in case.
