Safari Snorkel confirms snorkel for 4th-gen coming

I use mine as intended every month, sometimes twice a month. Snorkels in general are typically for dusty conditions with a side option of raising your intake above the water line. Just ran desert washes and sandy/rocky hills on Saturday. Dust so bad if you weren't paying attention you were either rear ending someone, missing the trail turn offs, or running over bushes and trees. Betting my air filter looks better than the other 4 guys.

I would love to see a side by side comparison of that.

I can tell you straight up, after a run through dusty trails and having a brand new filter in right before we hit the trail, my filter looked almost brand new still. This was a different run from the most current weekend, but dusty as all hell all the same.

I'm not 100% sure about the snorkel model that he has^above but the model that me and [MENTION=3536]CPARK[/MENTION] have earlier in the thread definitely fit a V6.

What model Snorkel do you have? The one you have looks like a good fit.

Any LC80 snorkel should fit the V6. I believe the air intake in the fender is in the same spot on both the V6 and the V8

They all fit about the same so far as I can tell. They fit better if you put some heat gun/torch work into it, but it will fit mostly right without any modification to it. My only gap is in the front because the stud wasn't long enough to get the nut onto it and cinch it in.

Pretty sure I've posted these before, but doesn't hurt to do it again. V6, LC80 Snorkel off eBay.

I must have missed it when I posted been looking at nothing but 4Runner stuff since I got mine a couple of days ago

Chatted with my buddy at Safari in Australia.... no real progress at all on the 4Runner snorkels over the last six months, they are way too busy with other higher volume stuff.
We can probably close this thread now.

Any new updates on the 4th gen Safari Snorkel? I rather buy a Safari then one of those eBay Snorkels. But, if Safari doesn't come out with Snorkel, I'll have to go with the eBay one (which I rather not).

I believe people established that it definitely would not, it comes up the body line directly where the lights sit unfortunately.

I just read on an instagram post by arb 4x4 usa that the 4th gen 4runner snorkel will be available early 2017. That only took 3 years.

Dean from Safari is over here this week doing more test fitments. Probably what are called First Off Samples, meaning the products are the first ones from the production tooling and they need to verify that all is good. That's all I got.
