I have to wonder if they might be surprised by final interest. Oh well, hope I get mine...
Nope.

I really want to know more about how the "Highly effective water separator" works. Is there a drain tube with a filter inside the fender that just catches water and other stuff or is it the inlet that somehow blocks the water?
Before reading this in the release document, I didn't really think about the fact that this thing sits up in the air (potentially) sucking every known thing into it (rain, dirt, snow etc.). Curious about how they are doing this.
There were some post and comments that Snorkel does not fit TRD Air Intake box. Would it fit AFE Box?
The idea of limited production seems like hype. The work is the mold development... After that, it seems like it would just be like printing money. Who would not print money if they could LOL.
It's a piece of plastic. Yes, I just spent 500+ on a piece of plastic, but the cost is the R&D.... I seriously doubt it cost much to produce more. Most companies will produce product if it is profitable.... simple as that. My guess is this is profitable at $500 for a piece of plastic. If there is demand more will be produced.
Just using common sense here.. I have no facts.

As described the 90 degree bend creates positive pressure, so in the rain you actually get water either shooting OUT the intake, or running out the water run off ports.
One of the things you'll see is some folks turn their intake around backwards. ARB frowns at this as it's cutting off air intake to the engine (which on diesels isn't a big deal because you don't need the volume of air) whereas you'll throw all sorts of MAF codes on most gasoline engines. Some folks believe that driving with the intake forward will dump water into your engine. Nope, it won't. The only times turning it around is advisable is say in really heavy/wet snow, where it can go into the tube, around the bend, and start building up and melting into the airbox.
I've driven mine through a monsoon in the Mojave coming back from Las Vegas, like rain so intense it physically HURT to get out of the truck on the side of the road, and the airbox looked bone dry even after an hour of that crap dumping.
I have driven through very heavy snow storms on my 4th Gen in Canada and my airbox was dry. Snorkel scoop does a good job pushing water out.
Trust me I was coming back from CBI when my snorkel started shaking in the wind when the A-pillar screws stripped out and a huge crack developed down the body. I can finally talk about some of this now.
This was one of the 3D printed prototypes, right? This shouldn't be of much concern with the production molded ones?
I pre-ordered two through Will. I say pre-ordered because they won't take payment or deposits due to the uncertainty of when they'll actually arrive.
