Do note there's 2 washers that are shortened/made straight on one side, otherwise it'll crease the fender. That's one of the things we learned we had to do on installation. I haven't seen the final installation kit as we learned from my rig, but you'll want to do that. You'll also need to jack the truck up, and remove the passenger front wheel. The snorkel can NOT be installed without removal of the wheel to access the inside of the fender well.
Also getting that dog leg rubber fitting to install is a biiiiiiiiitch.

Yeah, let's try yours first.
I talked to Wil on the phone and it sounds like ARB was very surprised by the demand they're getting, ever prior to the PR. I expect more will be coming.

I thought this video of an install on an FJ at Metal Tech really gives a good idea of what's involved as I will be installing myself. I have the tools, just need the correct bits and hole saw.

I installed a Safari Snorkel on my Tacoma and it wasn't too bad. The hardest part was getting the nuts threaded onto the studs inside the fender due to the tight space. Drilling is not too big of a deal because Safari provides an excellent template. Also, due to the large area the Snorkel body covers around the mounting/air duct holes, it's not too big of a deal if you happen to scuff or scratch the area on accident. Just use a lot of painters tape as well.

I'm growing tired of arguing about this. Here's the deal, you're confusing initial enthusiasm of sales with long term numbers. This is like when a sequel to a sci-fi movie comes out and the fans are all hyped up and first weekend sales on tickets are high and then the week after attendance drops off shortly.
Of course the initial batch is going to sell out fast. However that's not important because the people who need to sustain sales are the people who aren't in that first group.
If you want to keep arguing then go ahead. But 4runners aren't a big market. They never were. They never will be and the percentage of folks looking to add snorkels are a sub group of a sub group.

Nothing permanent under the hood. However the biggest thing is the A pillar install. The A Pillar goes all the way up and back to the rear of the truck. So don't screw that up or you'll have a bad day.
Do not skip installing the a pillar support bracket. Some don't opt to install them and this is dumb. If you catch anything that can pull or torque on the snorkel it'll bend your quarter panel.

Like LawnDart stated nothing permanent under the hood. Obviously, there's no going back on the fender after the first hole is drilled but you can always buy a new fender. The A-pillar is different though as that is the cab of the 4runner. If you're considering ever removing the snorkel, just use some really good double sided tape like 3M VHB series and you should be good and you can avoid drilling into the A-pillar altogether.
