I just imported 6 more on the 22nd and sold the last one this Saturday. I was not going to bring in any more but I keep getting calls and emails about them. Once the Safari ones are avail I do not intend to import anymore of the fiberglass models. The plastic version may be a bit bulkier, but likely much stronger.

Nathan that wasn't directed to you at all, sorry if it came across that way. I had followed along when you imported those originally and had read your comments that you were done with them with news that ARB was making one, so didn't realize you even had any left to sell, hence my comment about dead thread when someone revived it recently, that's why I put a link to this thread over there. I thought you quit bringing them in over a year ago. No ill will intended, just joking with those two.
Sorry for the mess everyone, just trying to keep the thread up and make a funny comment that my wife has relented to get a snorkel!
You are correct, I did not want to bring them in any more. I got them down to $410 a snorkel @ 6 per order. Then TNT charges me $89 import fees. then I offer free shipping ($30-$50 per snorkel). I literally have sold every one (34) at cost or less. Who wants to pay $500+ for a glass snorkel. Had I thought for a second that ARB would really make one, I would have held off.

I'm so jealous of our jeep friends modular snorkel options. And they're $350!
I've really tried to come up with some way to fit one of these on a 4runner, but there's really no cowl space to make it work. Only real option would be to notch out a corner of the hood and have a flexible tube underneath. Could work, but not easily.

Fiberglass cowl hood. Designed correctly, could be more rigid than stock.

They've been saying December for the past 1.5 months. So nothing has changed since they've been loose on their timeline anyways.
