Safari snorkel on a 5th gen?

Stock intake. And no it won't get taller. They engineered it that height for a reason. Likely based on the airflow coming off the vehicle wouldn't be much better higher up. I'm not an engineer at SAFARI so I'm trying not to talk out of turn. But what you see on my rig will be what you'll be able to buy in 5-6 months, just injection molded rather than 3D printed. I may add a cyclonic filter to the top of this just to keep the air intake for desert use as clean as possible.

Meh, try upwards of 800 up here just based on the exchange rate. Add shipping and duty then we're probably looking at pushing close to a grand for one of these north of the border. Can't see myself getting one until the exchange rate improves.

It looks like some cutting will be required to make the Bushwacker flares play nice with the snorkel, worst case I have my existing OEM flares painted black. But we'll see this coming week when we start messing with that and remove the front end for the Pelfrey front bumper.

The thing they kept reminding me, is despite the touch up paint required, and the not so perfect holes, is that'll be covered up for a long time. And honestly as I said if you don't want to know how your burger is made...don't go visiting the butcher shop.

If that bothers you, have someone else do it and go watch TV or surf the internet. It's brutal to watch.

I love seeing projects in the works. My wife is the one that can't take seeing things all apart. I did the heated seats and suspension while she was out of town so she didn't have to see our new SUV all apart. LOL

Hoping for an offroading trip to the snow in February. Maybe I'll head to Burns Oregon and eat snacks while laughing at the people in that federal cabin!

Anyways, next up is the Pelfrey front end, ARB skid plates, and Bushwacker flares. I'm a tad concerned how much cutting is required on the flares. If they don't work I'll just have to rattle can my existing flares.

Yes, having her car available is a good thing. Once I figured out I wasn't going to be able to use the spring compressor I had, I used her car to go have a shop swap the top shock assembly onto my new stuff.
