Wanted to bump this up for Savage Offroad and the Awesome Skid plates they sell. The Front has been redesigned to cover the LCA Mounts. Took a couple nice hits this past weekend.
Great company and owner that specializes in 3rd gen T4Rs. Ill post more of the other two soon. Still in the garage getting painted.

Great! Now with LCA bolt protection! These skids just moved to the top of my list!

Man, I really like those but why do all the skid plates I see made bolt up to that relatively small support in the front instead of the frame? It would be a much stouter mount.

I completely agree, a few weeks back i bent the shit out of mine. I straightened the factory x-member back into place then fabbed a new one to strengthen things up. 1/4" well gusseted and welded to the frame. Now the front skid is sandwiched between the factory x-member and my new one.
Any more shots needed just let me know.

Very nice. Thank you for all the pics. And the idea of what to do with that cross member. Mine is bent as well.

Honestly man i just cut it, straightened it up, and welded it back in place. Then built my much beefier crossmember to utilize the same mounting holes so the skidplate is now mounted double shear style. No way it will twist now. Good luck with it!

I could see that for sure. not fun running them through that much tubing but i need to get it fixed soon. if i do go the route of putting 1x1 then it atleast allows me to put some Grade 8 and the i can just do weld nuts on the top half. but we shall see lol
I am pretty sure i will be going savage on the skid. kinda like the modular design.

I know you arent afraid of doing your own fab work, so, if you go with the 1x1 tube, drill the holes a bit oversized so you can sleeve them to keep from crushing the tube when you tighten everything down and add extra strength. Good idea with the welded nuts.
As far as the modular design of the Savage skids, its pretty awesome. I changed my oil this past weekend and was able to just drop the second skid and left the first and third skid in place with no ill effects.

Ya know that thought crossed my mind lol I will definitely do that when I make this thing. Plus it makes it easier to find the other side lol
That is good to know. I just flushed my radiator and it sucked just taking the stock one off.
lol now I can't wait to get this thing

Just got my Savage skids last week, and I can't say enough good things about this company.
I placed my order for the full set of skids on the 21st of February, knowing that their products are made to order and are advertised as shipping within 10-15 business days. I was hoping that they would arrive in time for a weekend of wheeling on March 9th and 10th, but I knew it would be cutting it close.
I called Roy on Thursday, the 28th, to see if he knew if the skids would be ready by Friday, 3/8, and if I could just pick them up, instead of having them shipped, if they were going to be ready, since I was wanting them for the weekend. He said it was definitely a possibility, but he wouldn't know for sure until mid next-week, and that he would give me a call.
The next Monday, I get a call from Roy. He lets me know that he's going to be working into the night to try and get my skids ready so they can be shipped out the next day, so I would have them for the weekend. He got them out the next day, and I had them on my doorstep on Wednesday, leaving me plenty of time to get them installed.
Just thought I would share this here, so everyone knows they have excellent customer service to go along with their products. I might post some pictures of my skids once I get the bed liner on them.
