There's nothing technical here at all legally. There are some trails cut by a-holes that go back into the forest & through streams but you're not supposed to go off the main trails.
Huge mud hole! (sarcasm) My GF asked if I was going to go around it? Not!
Even though this rocky downhill is nothing, the truck bounced hard on every bump & pot hole. These 14 year old shocks had to go!

There's some pretty good fishing in both Little and Big Flat Brook. Bring a rod. Oh shit, you're an out of state resident. Never mind, that'll cost way to much. Hit the Wallkill on your way home. lol

Beautiful! I live within walking distance of Greenwood Lake. My zip code is Monroe but I live right at the border with Greenwood Lake.
This is my boat with the Red top at the Marina. It's a 1986 Galaxy Admiral GLX- 19 footer. It's name is, "White Heat-Red Hot", after the Judas Priest song off Stained Class. :guitar2:

Got some battle scars from tree branches & hit the 150,000 mile mark.
I put 7000 miles on the rebuilt motor from March 2014 to Jan 2015.

I see this truck at the Park & Ride everyday. It's owned by a girl in the next town over. We flash high beams when we see each other driving around town. She's in my NE 4Runner group on FB but never posts in there. Shrockworks FB, 3"lift, 33's.

Coming home from Stokes that day I got the dreaded 55 to 65 mph driveshaft vibration. I assume because I had her in 4wd for the first time in years. I brought it to my buddy Craig's shop just so he could check it & make sure it wasn't the trans or something else. While he was test driving it I came here & did my usual hours upon hours of researching old threads. I cant believe people still start "vibration" threads when it's all been discussed to death already. There are some great threads on this & [MENTION=108845]Andy in Pa[/MENTION] & [MENTION=50342]JayRolla[/MENTION] are also very knowledgeable on the subject. Craig told me there was no play in the drive shaft & it was probably my trans. I told him to take the DS off & check for play & there it was! The Double Cardan was shot. This is when the student started to surpass the master! LOL :becky: I decided that a Tom Woods Custom DS was the best option as a new OEM was over $600, a junkyard shaft could be crap, & at a little over $400 the Tom Woods DS was another bad ass upgrade for the 4R. Stock is 2.5" & I ordered a 3" diameter DS with 1310 u-joints so it could be rebuilt locally in the future if need be.

This boat came with the property/garage I bought. Pulled it out a few weeks ago so we can start the garage clean out. I didn't think much of it at the time. It was small & covered with dust, I figured I could sell it for $500 or give it to my friend who's going to wire the electric in the garage. After some research, it's a 1966 15ft Glasstron. Very desirable in the Classic Boat market. It's a collectable & goes for $2500 in VG condition & even more fully restored.
It's been garaged for 10 years & supposedly ran perfect before being put away. I had to buy new wheels & tires for the trailer so I'm already into it for $100. Thanks Amazon!

The boat and trailer is a good tag along with property! probably original trailer also which helps with collector value. Your in for a $100, put some elbow grease into it with clean up means Mo money for Runner Mods or garage.

During the Winter of 2014-2015 I started collecting parts to get the build rolling come Spring time. I like searching the classifieds here on T4R.org. If the price is right I'll pick up things that I know I wont get to for a while or that are further down on the priority list. You can find some great deals if you're patient.
12/14 - I picked up a brand new Sonoran Steel 7.2 lift kit from
[MENTION=95471]dilip4runner1[/MENTION] for $1200 shipped that he never installed. I really
wasn't sure at the time what lift I wanted to go with but for that
price I couldn't pass it up.
After a little more research I realized that the OME 890's
wouldn't cut it with a swing out rear bumper so I picked up a pair of
Land Cruiser 8 wraps for $60 & sold the 890's for $160 so that made the lift even cheaper.

In April of 2015 there was a warm enough day to pull off the Running Boards, install the Hilux Surf Clear Corners & Amber LED's, install new headlight bulbs & adjust the lenses & swap out the Gold Toyota grill emblem for a Chrome one.
Boards off.
Hilux Surf Clear Corners.
Amber Led's.
Old Gold Emblem.
New Chrome Emblem.
In April of 2015 there was a warm enough day to pull off the Running Boards, install the Hilux Surf Clear Corners & Amber LED's, install new headlight bulbs & adjust the lenses & swap out the Gold Toyota grill emblem for a Chrome one.

That's it! I'm done with Photobucket pop up ads! I'm moving to Flicker.
In May 2015 I put the body lift in using my buddies shop after work. It was pretty easy. I used a floor jack & a 4' 2x4 up against the rocker panel. Loosen up the nuts & bolts first & then do one side of the truck at a time. I didn't have to take the front bumper off like all of the write up's say to do for the front two . We used 24" socket extension & went in through the top with the hood open of course & my buddy held the nut underneath.

The steering extension was a pain to get apart with rusted bolts. My buddy used swivel sockets with extensions & WD40 to get the job done. I bought myself impact universal joints the very next week.
I use these with my Dewalt Impact & they are holding up great for the price.

Love how you're keeping your build alive after the time lapse between the maintenance. What's more impressive are the amount of photos you took during the process. Sometimes I think about scrapping my build thread and starting fresh but then I would lose all of the valuable inputs from others.
I'll be leaving for another two-week trip this Wednesday, the 4th and I still haven't updated my thread from my trip to MOAB. So much stuff going on between work, home, kids, rentals, etc...since I returned. I feel so remiss. I guess they call that "life."

Mike, Your build thread is awesome. I wish I had the time to add text to my photos like you do. Your write up's are perfect. And your electrical work....forgetaboutit! LOL NY baby! I have an old Canon Powershot A410 3.2MP that I use (2005?). I don't care if it gets dirty, some features dont work anymore but it still takes better pics than a cell phone. I just wipe it down with some 409 & a shop towel. I actually planed on doing this build thread earlier in time & being up to date but I'm just a little behind! LMAO! Yep, life gets in the way. AS John Lennon said, "Life is what happens while you're busy making other plans".
I've been waiting for your MOAB pics!
Now I'm going outside to remove the rear axle from my truck. There's so much shlt to remove! I've never attempted anything this complex, wish me luck! LOL (I'm actually more nervous about putting it all back together, taking it apart should be relatively easy as long as I dont break any nuts or bolts.)
I dont know either, it seems Photobucket is screwing people who have been there a long time with lots of photo's. I've only been on there for a year & only maybe 100 pics. The early pics in my thread were scans from photos so I added them as attachments.
