Second Row Seat Covers

Hi guys! Sorry if this being my third "newb" thread in 3 days is annoying.:repuke:

I plan on doing a good bit of long distance traveling in the near future and now that I've got my 2011 TE, I have room to bring the dogs along. I'd like to get a fairly rugged, but good looking cover, that can stand up to dogs bouncing around on the back seat (2nd row remember, it's a TE), and can be cleaned a little easier than detailing the actual seats afterward.

Would prefer the cover isn't extraordinarily pricy.

All the discussions I've read on the forum so far do seem to have some good opinions, so bring'm on!!!

Wet Okole seat covers have a good rep, but they're a little more pricey. There are several options on Cabela's website:

I found this site that appears to have some decently tough stuff with a number of choices for design. In particular the Endura fabric.

Might want to look at a dog 'hammock' they cover the backs of the front seats, across to the back of the backseat and up. Keeps the dogs from messing up carpet, jumping to the front seat, etc. I'll try to find a link.

Yea I came across this in my searching. I liked it b/c it'd give the smaller dog room to get down in the foot boards to sleep if he wanted. A lot of those other Hammocks try to keep the footboard area closed off. I feel like that'd put unneeded stress on the hammock and the front seat (esp w/ two decent sized dogs).

My only concern w/ the product from the link I gave is whether the fabric is tough enough.

I think I spent about $100 on mine and wanted something that cleaned easily. What I did find is that what cleans easily is also dangerous for the dog(s) because of the material is slippery as ice and the dog can easily slide off in any braking situation so you might have to think of some restraints if you go for that material. On the possitive side the slippery stuff lends itself well to easy hair vacuuming.

I have the outward hound hammock that I used in my Camry before getting a 4 runner. It works great at keeping the seats undamaged and clean. I have an 80lb lab and it keeps her our of the front seat and from falling into the footwells as I turn/brake. It cleans off pretty easily and the installation/removal takes just a couple of minutes. For the price I don't think you can go wrong.

Orvis makes a great seat cover as well, both our dogs sleep on their beds and we have a seat cover for the back seat as well.

I know it's a LONG SHOT here.....but does anyone have any photo's of the above Wet Okole seat covers installed in there 5th gen T4R? Preferably the 'sand biege' interior.

I know they are great quality, but I'm torn on the color combination I want to order. Front/Rear covers would be ~$650, so I want to be 100% sure I like the look/color(before dropping the cash). I'm leaning toward the 'full piping covers'...Black covers, with TAN piping to match my beige interior.

The black with large TAN middle area looks better than I thought it would! I might have to pull the trigger on that same color setup myself!...


EDIT: I just ordered the black covers with Tan inserts from Wet Okole! Along with a custom "4Runner SR5" graphic on the front covers! Pricey, but high quality.

I just received a full set (front/rear) of WOs. It took five weeks to have them made and to be delivered. Remember, they are semi-custom made per your specifications. I hope to put them on later today. I'll post pics as soon as they're installed.
