Hello all, I have a 2011 T4R, happy as anything with it. It's due for a service and it's closing on 90K miles. I can't find anything about what services are required. Oil change for sure but what else? When do I think about timing belts and such? Transmission? Any help would be appreciated.

Well if there's a timing belt in your engine, you good sir have a problem. That little sucker will just rip up in the crank and camshafts and gum up the works! Better get the dealership to perform that pesky "Insurgent Timing Belt Inspection and Detainment" before it explosively combusts your engine!
Joking aside, just follow what the owner's manual supplement (the one that came with your 4Runner titled something like "Scheduled Maintenance Guide") and you'll be fine. The chains are decently robust on these newer motors so I wouldn't even give it a though until you're nearing about 160~200k before you may wanna bother having anyone check them for stretching.

2011 has a world standard trans so it never gets serviced or the fluid changed UNLESS you tow 24/7.. The 90k mile service is pretty standard.. What you should have done IF you haven't or haven't had in a while is some fluids changed....if you have 4wd probably the rear diff, front diff, and transfer case fluids even if they are synthetic are due.. If they are conventional then they are usually ever 30k.. What Toyota doesn't put in their manuals to stay "low maintenance" is that usually brake fluids get changed every 30k also.. The fluid has additives in it that do all sorts of cool things....so maybe have that changed as well

I wouldn't worry about the ATF until about 90~120k if you're driving normally, if you're towing follow the "Severe/Towing" guidelines.
Brake fluid should be replaced around 3yr/30k; if you're in a very humid area or duty a lot of towing/heavy braking like in hills or what/not... it might not hurt to look at a more conservative 2yr/20k-ish interval. But honestly 3yr/30k is a good healthy number in terms of water absorption/retention, thermal breakdown, and such.
This particular Toyota doesn't have a maintenance book hence the post. As far as the timing gear; silly question, I didn't research that part. So then what I could expect is difs, t-case, brake fluid and maybe whatever else appears to need attention. Shouldn't be terribly costly then. Thanks for the help.

Same here. There is a maintenance manual, but is has no long term fluid change recommendations ... which I found pretty odd.
Hence my above post ... I'm sure as hell not going to ask for a dealer opinion.

2011 Service Manual
Hi,
I am new here and found the manual one of the fellows above was looking for, even though I know this is an old post.

My issue is, this manual doesn't go over 120k? I am in the midst of purchasing a 2011 SR5 with upgrades and it has 189k on it. Is there another service manual available for 4Runners over the 120k. I did read above about getting the timing chain checked for stretching. I wil keep checking the forums.
BTW - absolutely love this forum!
Current owner of 1999 with 360k plus kilometers on it and still going strong

That's so you don't unintentionally accelerate and blame Toyota later.
I always thought someone had to be a special flavor or retread to stack 2-3 floormats on top of one another--but apparently that's pretty common talking to the service staff at my local Yotamonger.

after 120, just start over again. It's all the same stuff over and over anyways.

Go to the WEB site listed above in NoDak's post.
There is no maint schedule info in the owners manual. It's in a separate maint schedule manual that is also available at that site. Once you drill down to where the manuals are at, you'll see a number of selections you can download and save to your machine.
