For the lift...With the V6, I would look at the Toytec 1/2" Spacer or have a shop make you a 3/4" spacer. I have the V8 so the nose sits a little heavier and the 1/2" just wasn't enough to "level" the truck. The term level is very subjective here. I swapped out for the Daystar 1" spacer a few weeks later and couldn't be happier. With the V6 and the 1" spacer, my concern would be bringing the nose up too far and making it look rear heavy.
Other mods...
Side exhaust is well worth the $40 - $60 to remove the resonator and route the exhaust out the side. This will eliminate the smell that you get with the rear window open.
Spidertraxx. These wheel spacers greatly improve the stance of the truck in my opinion. Relatively cheap and very easy to install. They bring the tires out flush with the fenders.
Enjoy your new 4Runner. I've had my 08 for about a year and a half now. I still smile everytime I open the garage and see it!
