Simple inexpensive rear sway bar end links?

Anyone using the fronts from a second gen on the rear of the third gen? Heard they were longer and worked good when lifted. I'm not running the rear but just asking.

Same here using Second gen rear for my Rear 3rd gen, works great! I have an LC 9 Lift in the back.
I was wondering if i can do it in the fronts as well, since im lifted 3 inches in the front.. anyone know any info on extending the front?

+1 more for running 2nd gen rear links in my rear. i just went with moog from advanced auto parts. most times you log onto there web page they offer 20% off. and they are a bit longer

x2...always read about using 2nd gen rears on our rear, but what about using longer end links for the front? do we even need longer links in the front for lifted rigs? I will be buying 2nd gen rears for my rear but curious about fronts

Those look pretty beefy for $17! What bushings did you use?
I bought the poly energy suspension but they're bigger and seem to bulge off center of the washers. Not sure I'll leave them.

I apologize if this has been addressed before, but I couldn't find an answer after a brief search and reading through a few threads.

If I'm going to a 2" lift, should I switch out the stock sway bar end links for 2nd Gen ones?

I got some 5th Gen springs I'm installing next weekend, and I'm hoping to eventually get some OME 906s (looking to get them used and save some $$$). I wasn't sure if that mild of a lift called for or would benefit from the longer sway bar end links.

Also, I take it that Moog's (K80380 #4883035010) are a decent option if you're not looking to drop a lot of coin.

Here's the simple way to accommodate a 2" lift:

Order set of 2nd Gen Rear End links.

When they arrive, remove your stock-length rear end links. Move your stock-length front end links to the rear. Install the 2nd Gen rear link set on the front.

In other words, you end up with:

2nd gen rear sway bar links on the front of the 3rd gen

3rd gen front sway bar links on the rear.

Your stock rear links are now homeless.

Both ends will be about an inch longer, giving your sway bars a more factory geometry with little or no preload. It's been a while since I did this but that's how I learned it. I did bend one of the fronts and went to another solution but this works on a budget.

Cost: +/- $30
