This might be the oldest thread revival I've ever seen, or at least that I've seen in a long time haha!
I took a prescriptoin of Chantix from my dentist about 4 months ago. I started to take the meds only half serious about quitting smoking. At the time, I smoked like a pack a day or so.
On this medication you can continue to smoke, just over time you crave the nicotine less because the medication blocks the nicotine receptors.
Well now I am smoke free and glad to get away from those f'ing things.
The side effects I experienced was an occosional temper flare and some crazy dreams. As far as temper, it didn't make me madder than I usually did, I just got mad faster. Didn't happen often. As far as the dreams, I didn't mind those either, I usually don't remember my dreams, but it was awesome having the dreams to be honest.
It's covered by most insurance, but if it isn't, really who cares, you'll save thousands in buying cigarettes.
I want to quit smoking too. Can you please recommend some good and working methods for it, guys?
What a *****! Is that okay to say here, especially when you're taking about yourself. Do ya ever go back and reread your posts? That came out a little harsh and that wasn't my intention.
Sorry if I offended you. Habits are hard to break. I applaud you for quitting and sharing how you did it. Keep at it!
Edit: I guess it's not ok, since it ***** out![]()
I quit smoking a year ago. I think that after 5-10 years, tobacco cigarettes will not be used. it has already been proven that they greatly harm people's health and even lead to lung disease. Many smokers switch to electronic cigarettes or vape. The advantage is that nicotine is most often not used in their tanks. Therefore, there is no addiction. On this site you can read articles about the composition of E-juice https://vаpingdаily.com/ . It's much better than cigarettes.
Just doesn't seem healthy filling your lungs full of water vapor either.
