Snorkel Upgrade Pre-Cleaner

Recently purchased one of these and it came with an adapter as suggested by the company. The adapter is the same size as the snorkel opening. When I take it off and try to bolt the pre-cleaner straight to the snorkel it stays loose.

Am I doing something wrong ?

Which snorkel are you running? I’m running Dobinson’s and Isaac from Snorkel Upgrade provided the below recommendation:

“You might need to get some thick insulation style tape to put on the inlet before you slide the adapter and precleaner on the top to close the.13 inch gap that will remain. It’s what all the people running this Dobison have to do.

Here is the link to a tape we recommend ”

Foam Insulation Tape Adhesive, Seal, Doors, Weatherstrip, Waterproof, Plumbing, HVAC, Windows, Pipes, Cooling, Air Conditioning, Weather Stripping, Craft Tape (33 Ft- 1/8" x 2") Foam Insulation Tape Adhesive, Seal, Doors, Weatherstrip, Waterproof, Plumbing, HVAC, Windows, Pipes, Cooling, Air Conditioning, Weather Stripping, Craft Tape (33 Ft- 1/8" x 2") - - Amazon.com

Well, the issue was that I wasn’t tightening the clamp hard enough. Once I got the proper tools I was able to tighten it some more and it fits just fine. Lol

Isaac has great customer service. I would recommend 110%

Man that thing was really hard. I thought it would progressively get hard as usual when you tighten something but the clamp was just stiff after a few turns.

I think my buddy had to use a socket wrench to crank it down due to the giant clamp they use. BEEFY>>>>
