Snow in Maine, 2000 4runner limited

Went exploring yesterday, tried to get to a trail that went up a mountain but the gates were locked and didn't see a way around. So next best thing found some granite rocks to play on.
Smacked my hitch multiple times and tapped the bumper a bit. All part of the fun!

Just finished installing some more led strips. I put about 40" on the rear hatching ran the wires into the rear dome light. It works off that switch so it comes on when the tailgate is open. I also put 21" above both front doors and 12" above both rear doors. Those were wired into the center dome light. Same story any door opens light comes on.
I decided to put the strips there instead of the bottom of the door because this throws more light further out. It also puts light onto the door itself. I may end up putting more under the door like I first planned.

Picked up a taco e-locker rear axle yesterday. For a pretty good deal. Now I've got to decide what other mods I'd like to complete while the rear axle is out for the retrofit. Right now I'm thinking about making new upper and lower control arms, relocating the diff drain, raising the shock mounts, possibly raising lower control arm mounts as well and adding some more protection.
I don't plan on doing the retrofit right away. Most likely early spring when temps become more manageable in an unheated garage.

Was a cold morning here -13 truck starts fine with a block heater.
Yesterday it was 4 degrees out so we went wheeling. Had some fun until the fj popped 2 tires.
Today I made my new turn signals and removed the front bumper. I ended up cracking it in the cold on a rock.
The bumper will be similar to the addicted off road, but will sit much closer to the truck. I want the winch to fit under the grill without having to trim. I also am going to run a small stinger. I want it to sit in the middle of the grill not the top. My led bar will stay behind the grill . Just used some cardboard to see about what it will look like.

Did some more cad tonight, overall this bumper will sit a lot closer to the truck.

Only one bend at the corner of the fender the other will be by the fender flair. The drivers side I plan on making it into an air tank. The drivers side will hide the winch controller.

Because stuck ignition key kept me at work.
And picked up the steel for my bumper and with smart cuts I should be able to do the skid plates too.

I second that sentiment. Missing the snow right now, not so much the cold though. I'm a little jealous of your location too, if I was in Arizona I would def. be checking "seeing a Patriots super bowl" off my bucket list.

I don't know of any. I left in 2006 when I was 19. Back then I never went off roading. I grew up in Old Orchard Beach so I was mostly at the beach all the time.

Anywhere north of Bangor would be a good place. I went to a place called Kokadjo above Moosehead Lake last time I was home. Once you get up that north there is big timber business, so there are a fair amount of worn skidder trails to go down. Went bird hunting in October.
On a side of a mountain, was a lot steeper than it looks in the pic. You can make out my cousins '13 Taco a little ways down where we stopped for lunch. Beautiful scenery that time of year.

Yeah, I live in vt some good scenery here too... but overtime I see pics of northern maine, I just want to go grab the t4r and go exploring. Maybe sometime this summer.
