so I installed the CBI Covert Front Bumper and WTF?

i had a pro shop install it.. it doesnt go over it..

and yes i tried to place it where the 2 only holes are the other holes to mount it are not there anymore or they will cover half the lower part of the bumper

do you see the square window like area aka the winch access window in my pics ?
if i was to put the oem skid plate it would cover that lower half area basically
and finally cbi itself mentions oem skid plates wont fit after install

so wtf u talking about u clown

If he has the TRD skid plate it probably wouldn’t fit without trimming? Looks like the “Venture” trim comes stock with a TRD skid and that would definitely overlap with the bumper. If it’s the stock non TRD skid plate it should just bolt back on. Maybe try and find the standard skid or trim your existing one with a dremel?

what are you showing me in this video he doesnt even has it installed
he prolly just hasnt taken it off the skid plate yet .

tomorrow during daylight im gonna show you what happens when you put the skid plate on those mounting points it overlaps the bumper by alot makin it unusable.

what else you suppose to do when u tell someone the pro shop that installs these all the time tell me they couldn't put it on the angle of the skid plate and how it overlaps first half of the lower bumper part basically covering half of the square window but because of the thickness onee sitting ontop of the other it just doesnt work

then i have the part in my hands and i go try to fit it and i see that it doesnt work.. i then make a post and people who dont actually have this bumper trying to tell me it fits lol ill try to post pic tomorrow with holding it over those mounting holes so they understand better .i said from the start this bumper sits alot deeper in than the c4 bumpers.... not maybe have these covert ones since they are new.

Had you stated I do not have the TRD Pro skid plate, which is supposedly required by CBI, it would be much more clear. Just "I have a venture not a pro" says nothing. On CBI's website it does not state anything about needing to ditch the OEM skid, again you're just being lazy and not listening. The video/pictures do no show the OEM skid/braces, as they likely were installing aftermarket skids right after the video was made.

As stated by everyone else - your factory skid mounts right up. The red line matches on the red line. If you and a shop can't figure that out, you should probably go find someone who can... it's not rocket science.

Attached are a few photos to walk your rude ass through the steps of mounting the skid plate. You need to reinstall the skid plate braces for the OEM skid. Additionally, CBI doesn't remove the OEM skid on their install prep video. :banana:

its impossible for a trd pro skid plate on a venture because all ventures have kdss and the skid plates on pros cant fit them cuz of things in the way sorry u didnt know that

so here what happens when you line up the mounting bracket with the hole on the skid plate.. notice how i have to move the skid plate about 2-3in upwards to fit with the holes .... notice something in the way.. ? i cant move the skid plate high enought to actually match with the holes without the the two edges hitting each other and overlapping sitting one ontop of another

Also, FYI, that "square window like area" is not the winch access window..LOL.. The "winch access holes" are on both sides of the fairlead. The "Square window like area" is where your plastic filler plate use to reside, NOT the skid plate. SO thank you for proving to all of us your high level of understanding of the product you purchased.

and we already told you. You are going to have to trim your skid plate to get it to fit around the lip area.

Or you can use spacers.

Or you can adjust your bumper forward.
