As many people have stated here already, if you go through an internet site for pricing, you'll almost always get something near invoice cost. I went through Truecar.com and got mine at the end of October for $300 under invoice. Most of the dealers I was talking with via phone and email (I talked with about 7 of them) had special "internet pricing" that was always something close to invoice. As long as you don't mind traveling a bit to pick it up (I drove about 200 miles), you can definitely get a good price. Don't believe the MSRP lies.
At Truecar.com, you put in your zipcode and they locate the 3 nearest Truecar.com certified dealers. I tried that, and my 3 nearest dealers were having a hard time finding a Trail edition, so I then put in a Sacramento zipcode since we were going to be up there visiting family anyway. The 3 dealers it located for me up there all were able to find one, so I just went with the dealer who gave me the best deal. Pretty easy. Never had to haggle with anyone.
