Socco, I really like your RR and want to build one myself as well. I will be using your build as inspiration for mine. :thumb3:
Can you explain how you mounted to the roof bars with the feet? I see it resting on the plate, but don't see how it is secured. Is the rack welded to the feet?

DONE!
It took a while, but I'm happy with the results. I got the front feet mounted, replaced all the plated hardware that came with the lights with SS, lights mounted and wired! I went for a test run the night I got it done and managed to startle: 2 kids making out in a parking lot, 2 guys doing drugs in a Blazer and 3 car loads of people drinking in a park :thumb3: Pics aren't great but they'll do for now.
So the front feet are nothing more than a couple of adjustable feet like you'd have on a cabinet. I cut a piece of self-adhesive roofing membrane (butyl rubber about 3/16" thick) to put on the plastic foot. Painted the metal bits and used shrink tubing to cover the threaded portion. I welded a 3/8" nut to the frame of the rack to accept these.
The spare tire is secured with a Master adjustable cable lock, lock has a cinch setting so you can reef on it to tighten it down then lock it.
Since I ran 7 conductor cable up through the roof (to minimize leak potential) I needed a way to splice off to all the lights. I put a 7 way junction block on a piece of SS with some adel clamps and made my connections in it. Not very discreet, but WAY easier to work with should I have a problem or want to add more lights.
Wow. My headlights are yellow!

Thanks Jeff! I'm glad I could pass on the inspiration that I got from here too!
Ok, so the feet...Yes the sections of flat bar are welded to the rack, then the thin flat bar slides into the factory rack and gets snugged down with the socket head cap screws. I cheated a bit in how I made it work. I took the mounting parts, aligned them on the rack at front, centre and back positions and screwed them down. Then I took the rack, put it up on top, squared it up and tack welded the rack to the feet. Took the rack off finished the welding.
Just pure genius. (I don't call that cheating, I call that brilliant)
Definitely an awesome job! Now you need some HIDs or something to get rid of that ridiculous yellow! Have you driven with the sunroof open now that the RR is on?

Thank you sir. Yes, those lights are atrocious. Looking at Phillips X-treme visions or maybe Rallys. Not looking to have fake HIDs or "blue" lights, just bright ones! I went out for a quick rip on the highway the other day and the noise wasn't too bad. With the radio at a normal volume, its barely noticeable. I dont think I'll even bother making a fairing at this point.
