I haven't had any issues with it.
It is only used for this application.
I guess it depends on how it is used, period.
Also, I don't keep one in the chamber. If I have to use it, then one goes in the hole as it comes into position.
just sayin'
Saker , more reasons for you to not keep one in the chamber if you actually use that IWB clip! :lmao:
Now, you should seriously practice single-hand chambering, you have the perfect rear sight for that (large ghost ring sight). Gun out the holster, rack your slide by catching the ghost ring to probably the lip of your center console, and punch forward to rack the slide. You should be able to achieve this all single handed.
For your standing IWB draw, pull your pistol, and either catch the rear sight to you belt and punch down to rack..... or catch your rear sight to the heel of your shoe and punch down to rack.....
All of the above requires practice, but can be done easily after a few practices, not rocket science, just muscle memory. :bravo:
PS. you do have the hammer dropped too right? That way when you "feel" the trigger, you will get yourself reminded that there is no round in the chamber..... just saying....
chambered is the only way to carry.
I realize for some, it takes while to get there, but it should be the goal.
This I can agree. I am all for carrying hot. Weapons platforms that are under my immediate control are hot.
But then Saker, wasn't "carrying" here.....
I also prefer to carry with the safety OFF. my carry piece is DA/SA. the DA trigger requires a somewhat heavy, and very deliberate pull. I have no worries of it going off, unless I make it happen.
This I cannot.
IMHO. IF your weapon platform has a safety, use it. On target, off safety; off target, on safety. Disengaging the safety is not going to take you anymore time than not. Again, it is not rock science, just practice and muscle memory.
