Camping trip

Got to go camping last saturday and went with my brother in law and his two daughters. Lots of fun, stayed near the trail head and had awesome weather... The photos will tell the story :art:

About half way up the trail my brother in laws blazer sheared his rear u joint off and then the driveline fell out. We loaded everything/person into my 4runner and drove back down the trail to the nearest town and bought a new u joint. Then on the way back up the trail to install everything my rear sway bar mount actually ripped off. That gave me and my bro in law both something to do.
After a little trail surgery he got his u joint in and i took off the sway bar. on the way down the trail the flex was waaaaaaay for flexy haha. anyway heres some pics and vids from the day.

Well here's the sway bar that got ripped off, one of my brackets and some bolts are still on the trail....... Somewhere.

And I totally stole this idea from [MENTION=91623]CenCalifoothill15[/MENTION]. I'm gonna just sticker bomb the hell out of it.

Dude for so long I had been reading online about how bad these handle without the sway bar. I have no rear sway bar at all and I gotta say I love it, lots of flex on the trail and for some reason I'm having a lot more fun driving it through the twisties. You can't even tell its not there on the freeway or on surface streets.
My plan is just to get extended end links for the front and call it a day. So overall I'm def for removing the rear, no down sides so far!

I can't stress enough how much you will notice it isn't there AS SOON AS you need to change lanes at 40 MPH while braking to avoid hitting something or maybe to avoid a crash that happens 1 car ahead of you or something sliding in your lane.

The car performs very different without the sway bar. You need it for those moments, it might even save your life or keep your truck from being totaled.

I've only had one moment like that in the last 12 months but I'm glad I had put my sway bar back on. Currently running extended links from StickFigure.

My bro in law and I plastidipped our 4runners rims this afternoon. He already did his emblems, grill and for handles. I haven't done that part yet but I plan on plastidipping the spoiler and my emblems as well...

Did my emblems in the rear and the symbol on the front. Overall I like it but now I need to plastidip my rear license plate holder and my "spoiler."

Looks really nice, I like the black! What method did you use for the wheels? Just clean them with soap and water then spray a couple coats on, and peel off any excess? Did you do anything else, like clear coat over top of the plastidip?

Yeah man you nailed it. I took them off, cleaned them and sprayed them. No clear coat yet but that's not a bad idea.


Oh yeah and I ordered a toytec extended rear brake line after seeing how far the ass end flexs. The oem line has damn near no slack.

I had about a extra can and a half after doing all the emblems and wheels. I started looking for other stuff to dip. This stuff is so awesome super easy to work with. My wife now wants me to plastidip her 2007 Civic SI lulz.

Btw Toytec doesn't play around. They ship fast! The extended rear line looks pretty beefy, hopefully will install it Sunday.
