South carolina back - country maps

Starting to get ready for a quick trip to Charleston, SC and Savanah, GA in early May. Looking to take as many back roads as possible between the two and grab lunch at Hilton Head.

Was looking for something similar to the Latitude 40 maps for Colorado and Utah. Found an Atlas by Delorme so fa, but was wondering if there is anything better out there.

Delorme is anything but bad, but I like the waterproof construction of the Latitude 40 maps.

Anyone any suggestions?

There are no trails like CO/UT, but there are paved, scenic back roads. From Knoxville, take Hwy129 south through Deal's Gap, then continue on Hwy 28 through Franklin and Highlands and into SC. Around Charleston and Savannah there is nothing interesting (to me, anyway), but most any area shaded in green on google maps in North Georgia, East TN, or West NC is nice.

It's all back woods in SC... oh you said back roads, haha... Jeremy is right, you just won't find much around there. Look for the two lane paved country roads, nice rolling hills around there. I'd make sure I went through eastern TN and western NC if I was anywhere close to there personally.
