Southern Style Offroad Full Length Roof Rack

Received my SSO rack yesterday and installed today.

NOTE: I also have the issue with the last crossbar. 2017 TRD OR.

I don't remember if I requested for the SSO badge to be painted but I'm glad it was when I received it. Planned on painting it black also.

Mostly everything bolted up fine. I did however need to oval out the three holes for the wind deflector bracket. No biggie.

Did the install myself which took around an hour and half.

What's that clear gel around the bolt areas?
What visors are you rocking? Looks super clean and seamless!

Silicon to keep any water from going between the standoff spacers and the gutter down into the headliner.

Thanks for the response! I had a feeling since it looked similar to the ones I use for headlamp retrofitting (back in the day).

Do you also happen to know what brand his visors are?

They're the avs low profile visors on Amazon. Note: I removed the avs logo using some nail polish remover.

For what it's worth. SSO supplied me with some Silco RTV4500 High Strength Silicone Sealant.

Anyone know if the Front Runner black tie down rings work with the SSO rails? I'm lazy to take a rail off to see if the bolt will fit.

Most of us use a section of clear vinyl along the roof line for added protection.

About time Gobi & Baja have a competitor in the ladder market!! Looks like adjustible rungs - great idea. I wonder if the price point will be comparible to Gobi/Baja.

I did not. That's the reason I asked if anyone knew if the black ones from Front Runner would work.

I did not. That's the reason I settled if anyone knew if the black ones from Front Runner would work.

The ones from Front Runner will not work with the supplied hardware. I just ordered more from SSO since I needed about 8 total.

I was looking at the 80/20 T-Nuts so I could just buy some eye bolts... But I can't find eye bolts that fit the two thread patterns available anywhere I've searched.

Does anyone have the inside scoop on where one can find them?

For what it's worth. SSO supplied me with some Silco RTV4500 High Strength Silicone Sealant.

We do supply each and every roof rack order with their own tube of silicone, a clear vinyl strip, and also a hex key for installation. There's not too many things worse than starting your install only to find out you dont have everything you need, so we fixed that.

Some more pics of the 40" lightbar wind fairing for the SSO rack. This is the Rigid SR2 40", but it also accepts the Baja Designs S8 40" and the Heise single row 40".

I finally found some that will work! I think... 80/20 stuff isn't exactly cheap!

And... just eye bolts are available on SSO's website now. I wanted the drop-in or roll-in nuts though.
