That's one even I can't wait to see .You'll be the first to change out the door handles and alot of people said they wanted to do it.

It started raining on Thursday night, so I haven’t had a chance to take an “after” picture for a before and after comparison. All measurements are from the ground to the bottom of the fender.

Before:

Front Driver Side: 34-3/4 inches ** Front Passenger Side: 35-1/4 inches
Rear Driver Side: 36-1/2 inches ** Rear Passenger Side: 36-1/2 inches

We have a six-week old baby, and I've somehow managed to balance this mod stuff (nothing too hard to execute or takes long to do), the write-ups (you'll notice the posts are late at night, after everyone goes to bed), my job, and my number one priority...the wife and son.

I think I'm doing pretty well. I keep her in the loop, and I'm really good about doing my baby duty (to address baby doody). I take him off her hands a lot so she can have some time to herself.

The measurement was taken in the parking lot, immediately after taking the "before" picture. So, it was either slightly uneven, or it was because I had a full tank of gas (and had about a 1/3 of a tank when I took the "after" measurement).

Believe me, I've thought about it. But I think I'll just upgrade the muffler. That plays into the theme of "easy/cheap" mods.

The exhaust tip? Yeah...but I don't think I want one that affects the sound. Maybe just a nice aftermarket bolt-on tip for "looks".

oh okay. makes more sense. I was worried, and i thought maybe i should go measure mine. In fact how do you measure it? Is it measured from the ground to the top (center) of the fender?

Question for the Forum

So here's what I want to know...

There are very, very few TRD items available (that I can tell) for the 5th Gen 4Runner.

You have the air filter, oil cap, oil filter, performance brake pads, and radiator cap found on this page, all of which should add 5-10 hp per item.

You have the CAI.

And you have this shift knob. (adds 20 hp and extra torque in 4wd)



So my question is...when there are only about 7 TRD accessories for us, how many do you need to put on your truck before you discretely brand it with this on the front grille?

That's all it is - looks, nothing at all to do with sound. I happen to think it looks good, but there's nothing functional about it at all.

i think i want to get an exhaust tip. I swear my t4r was supposed to come with one, but, i don't think i have one.
