The kit has now gone international, finding its way Down Under, woohoo! So for all of you who were holding out wondering if it would work with a RHD diesel powered HiLux, the answer is "yes indeed, fits like a glove, no mods required!".

Kit arrived Monday, installed Monday night! Love it.
Top 5 reasons to install the "Leon Lift"

Do you think it would clear an MJT accessory fuse block plate on the left side of the engine bay?

I suspect it will not clear it easily, as that area needs to be clear for the struts. You can probably relocate the fuse block plate a bit, if you are willing to invest the time. Or ask [MENTION=161842]Mtns_Yo[/MENTION] how he did his, I think he had a lot of similar add-on components.

I still haven't had the chance to install mine, work and this rain hasn't allowed me. But I will most likely need to redo my fuse block plate and move it down an inch or so the strut clears it. I'll post pics when I get around to it.

High-Lift Hood Strut Kit!
Sure can. I did manage to work around my fuse block plate and get them mounted today. I do need to move one bus bar .5” or so I can put the cover back on. I am curious to see what your solution might be.
Other then that busbar being in the way it seems like it’s going to work. It’s a bit tight but functional right now. Here’s a few pictures.

on the RH side, would a 1-1/2" clearance between the inner fender and an air filter box be enough to allow installation of the strut?
the air filter box on mine is located opposite the trapezoidal rubber support for the hood.

Since a number of 4Runner owners also have Tacoma trucks, I've recently developed a similar high-lift strut kit for the '01-04 Tacomas .

Ordered on Wednesday, came in today (Friday). Nice!
Found a couple of things on my install. Did okay with the pilot drill, but I knew
tape on a drill bit was in no way going to prevent carnage with all the effort it
took to cut the hole. So I used a spacer.
The hose fitting wouldn't come out without breaking, so I bypassed it with a
brass nipple. Problem solved.
Love the way these work!
