my pads are only a few months old.. and from the begenning they were squeaking, now there to the point where its everytime i step on the brake i sound like a 80 year old gremlin comming to a stop!:0 i use autozone brake cleaner/ works for a day or 2.. and brake quiet spray/samething/ caliper lube maby a week at most... still a chalkboard schreeching noise that drives me insane!

wats the best way youve found to deal with them without taken em apart?!

You probably just don't have them bedded in yet.

My Corvette does this when I don't drive it aggressively. All it takes is a couple of good hard stops and all is good again. Try this:

Do 6 or 7 hard stops from 60mph, but do NOT come to a complete stop. Keep rolling and drive on. This will keep any possiblity of rotor-warpage out of the picture.

Try that and see if it does not solve your case of the "screaming clampers."

i will try this! theres no reason for them to be doing this, unless therre little rocks/dust between the pads or something

The best way I know involves taking them apart. I have had issues with this before. Take the pads back out and use a file to round off the sharp edge all the way around the pad. Then reinstall. I have had the noise issue enough that I now take a file to the edge before installing the pads the first time now. Since I have started doing this I have yet to have any noise issues with new pads.
