Nice looking 4Runner, Matt! We are the lucky ones that can work on stuff and drive a manual.
I wish mine was a 3RZ base model. My goal is to make mine look like a base model. I'm plasti-dipping my badges tomorrow, then I'm going to paint my bumpers and wheels this spring and say goodbye to that nasty chrome.

Spent about 4 hours sanding/ painting and then installing my $78 EBay OEM roof rack. Think it turned out pretty nice, here are a few pictures.

Damn, I know for sure now that there is a Santa Claus. No more running boards. I have to ask though if the better half was on board with the idea (ha).

Your 4runner looks great especially with the removed running boards. Its pretty sweet how many other high schoolers there are with 3rd gens.

I guess the constant nagging finally got to him. I think he likes how it looks now that the boards are off. I sure do!

Looks great Matt. I thought the girlfriend was short of statue, and the running boards were a necessary item to stay. Still really love your color.
I had a fishing trip planned for Marathon over New Years, but the girlfriend's mother had to have hip replacement surgery quickly so no bull sharks or barracuda for me. The temp tomorrow there is a nice 81. Oh well.

Yes she is only 5' 3", but we are no longer together. But hey I got to take my running boards off lol. Thank you, the hood and roof are finally starting to show some age. But don't plan of doing anything (paint wise) as I'm heading off to college next year and it will most likely take a beating.
Actually heading out in the boat tomorrow with a new lady friend. The mangrove snapper are hitting in the bay right now, so plan on picking up a few dozen shrimp and giving it our best shot. Still got to get her comfortable with the basics before we hit the flats. It's a bit breezy here in Sarasota, but the temperature sure is nice.

Heh I noticed that too. I'm guessing you reinstalled your front wheels swapped after the front end repairs
Tires do seriously look awesome.

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed. I've got directionals on my other car and they were backwards when I first got it and it bothered me until I was able to swap them around. I do really like those tires. They look bigger than a 31" tire too. I want to put 32" tires on mine, but it came with new tires when I bought it, they've only got 23k miles, and they're wearing well... I guess I'll just have to wait...

I actually went back through my pictures and they have been backwards since I got the truck. I'm going to be taking the wheels off pretty soon to do the 500 mile suspension check up, along with making sure the new steering rack is secure. I guess it's worth switching them around while I can. Still debating on whether or not to plasti dip the rims black again. I really love the tires so far, and the tread really does make them look bigger. I would love to go up in size down the road, but these will last me a while.

Hopefully the new lady is better, and a great fisherman. My ex-wife lost a Penn International and a beautiful rod over the side of the boat once as we were fishing for trigger fish. That is why she is my ex. Never had luck with women on a boat and fishing as you can see from the picture:

I plan on leaving the rims how they are for now. Rather save up and spend the money on other stuff.
My dad and I have had our share of lost rods. I guess it is all part of the sport. We had a great day on the water today. Caught some great sized mangrove snapper off a dock in town, ranging from 11 to 14". Went through 2 dozen shrimp very quickly. She is starting to get the basics down, but the casting is still a struggle. Guess it's hard for me to relate as I've been fishing since I was a few years old. Here's my other "daily driver":

Found this in the teachers lot at my school today. Love the color! Looks to be all stock and in need of a paint job. I wouldn't mind taking those front mud flaps off his hands though.
