Looks good Matt, though no FSU insignia yet on it?

How is your buddy doing with his boats? I got to tour the Viking plant a couple of weeks ago. Beautiful work, though they insisted quite often that no picture taking was permitted.

Don't want to take the chance of some drunk FSU hater to come along and key the truck because I have a FSU sticker lol.

Vikings are beautiful boats. There is a 72ft one in Sarasota that makes your jaw drop. I can only dream.

He's starting hull number 4 this week. He also is starting to design a 2nd deck layout so people have the option of a bay boat deck or center console deck.

I've been thinking about getting a light bar like yours. What brand is it? Are there any problems (leaking, overheating)?

Thanks,

Sorry to hear that Matt. I didn't think you would get a lot of guff from the locals there. It isn't Gainesville or even Coral Gables for crying out loud.

There was an early 2000s 76 Viking who docked at Key Colony Beach in Marathon in 2013. Port of call was in the Turks. The captain just had about $10,000 of teak replaced on it. Just beautiful. Didn't get any pics. Someone here in the Annapolis MD boatyard just took ownership of a 82ft convertible.

Keep the good times rolling with the boat building.

It's just a eBay light bar. You can get a 24" for $50 or so. They are hit and miss though, some people have them and they work for years, others pull them out of the box and LED's are already burnt out. Mine has been perfect so far, knock on wood. Look around on Amazon and EBay and you might find a deal.

I keep a well broken in pair of cowboy boots in the back storage area
for easy slip on when I need them which is fairly often.
I will rock 'em with shorts and catch hell about it from wife, friends, son, etc. but I just don't give a damn? :nono:

Is that you in the pic, Matt?

No that isn't, I'm actually taking the picture. That's a friend of mine who was riding his ATV with us. Here's me gf and I all dressed up for prom. How do you like the clean 4Runner in the background? Lol

That's great! Love contrast of formal wear and mud. lol She's a good sport for posing in front of it.

My friend jumped on my hood yesterday and dented it. I tried banging it out and it's still noticeable. I think a sport hood may be making its way onto the truck very soon. And better yet not on my dime.

Yup. Make him pay for it. I need to find a sport hood myself.

That happened to my dad in college. Let's say he wasn't happy

I know how you feel 'cause of my hood dent. I'm eventually going to get a sport hood and paint it black for mine.

Sorry to hear that Matt. Hopefully it was just a stupid accident that won't severe a friendship.

I once let a boat to a friend, who on returning it had put a gash so deep in the gel coat one could see the mat. $670 later and he never asked me to borrow the McKee Craft again.

Good luck with the new hood.
