I have mine as well from the PO, I think the price for my 99 in Oct of 98 was $35,XXX but I may be wrong. If I can find it I will post a pic.

I can't believe AC was an add on item for close to $1000. How one can survive in FL without it is beyond me, except in the Keys possibly.

If you think that $25,000 won't buy as much car today as in 1997, take a look at boat prices from 97 to today. $25,000 back then would have gotten you a 20ft + CC off the showroom floor fishing ready. Today, just the hull and trailer.
 
How did the LBJ replacement go for ya?

Not at school yet? It has to be nice knowing no more high school.

I am still searching for my original window sticker BTW.

Took longer then expected, but I got it done. Feel a lot more comfortable knowing that they are brand new.

I head off to school on the 20th. The pile of supplies in my room continues to get bigger and bigger everyday.
 
Love the build so far. I actually live pretty close to sarasota. Im over in Englewood. Where'd you get that hood painted at? My hood is trashed and my friend also dented it while jumping on it. looking to get a sport hood at certifit.

The paint didn't turn out great so I just plasti dipped it myself with 3 cans.
 
What happened? The only pricey part will be repairing the dent in the hatch. The rear bumper can be ordered easily. Go OEM for that.

A friends car wouldn't start at the lake so I was helping him try and get it running again. We couldn't get it going so called a tow truck, so I hoped in the 4Runner to move it and completely forgot about the tree 20ft behind the truck. Ended up backing right into it.

The sides of the bumper are fine, I would just need to get a new plastic piece and middle section.

I'm scared to see how much the hatch dent is going to be. I think I can get to it from the back though. Not sure what I'm going to do about that yet.

Well today was the first time she almost left me stranded. Went to visit my parents for the weekend from college. It's about 330 mile trip in each direction.

The way down went great but I started to notice a new sound coming from the engine bay, so this weekend I looked over everything and figure I should be good to go. I started my journey back and the sound was still there. Well when I got about 180 miles back towards college this afternoon, I got off the interstate to get gas. After filling her up I went inside and grabbed some snack.

When I went back out to start her up again she turned over, shook violently and died. Tried it a few more times hoping it was just fluke. Now being 180 miles from home and close to 140 from school, I started getting worried. I called AAA and had them send a tow truck my way because I knew they would take a while to come anyways. While the tow truck was on the way I finally got her to turn over and stay running for more then a few seconds, then the smoke started.

After quickly turning off the engine, I ran over to see what was smoking. After looking over everything I noticed that the belt to the AC compressor was throwing pieces of itself all over the air filter. As soon as I narrowed it down to the AC compressor, the AAA tow truck showed up. I asked him to tell me if the AC compressor pulley started to spin when I started the truck. Already basically knowing the answer, he said it wasn't budging and the belt was just spinning around the pulley.

I then knew that my AC compressor pulley was shot and it wasn't allowing the motor to turn over completely without burning the belt off. So I took out my handy dandy pocket knife out and cut the belt. I looked at the AAA guy and said, well I'm going to go now. I then proceeded to drive the remain 140 miles back to school with the windows down and music blasting.

I guess I'm in need of a AC compressor...
