Cheese and rice how do you fit in your 4R? I'm 6'3", all legs and my head hits the ceiling in the morning when I'm stretched out from sleeping. My hair just brushes the ceiling in the afternoon when I'm slumped.
I have to tilt the seat back half Chino style! Lol I plan on lowering the seat someday, but I've been getting by.
So, I think I am going to get the rough country 6" lift kit. My reasoning, if my drivers side knuckle is bent the kit replaces it. My skid plates are done, my rear control arm bushings are shot, rear shocks are leaking, more travel. Replaces everything that is broken and wore out and gives me more suspension lift. I'll trim my body lift down as well so I'm not so tall. Cheaper in the long run.

Down in Kzoo. I don't have a 4Runner yet but I'm on the hunt for a nice 3rd gen (hard to find here as I'm sure you know). I'm contemplating a 4th gen too.
Oh OK. I'm working on Rochester Hills the next few weeks. I like the power and size of the 4th gen as well as the creature comforts. They do make some better sas kits and such for the 3rd Gen though... Lol

What you doin with your front shocks when you lift?

I'll have to use them until such time I can replace them with coilovers. The kit comes with a spacer to move them in the right location.
Fixed my stripped nut and messed up washer on my front shocks. Cut it with a dremel then spread it out with chisel and popped it off. Replaced with new lock nuts. Used my old uca washers double stacked to take up the space and make sure it never bends like that again.

I think the washer with the slices is the one that goes on top of the lower bushing before the tophat. The top and bottom washer are flat.
It used to be flat. It's the one that goes there it just got destroyed and cupped up, then the cut marks are from me getting the nut out. The one that goes on top has a slightly concave shape to hug around the bushing, as you can see mine no longer did. Lmao.

Your front shock washer issue is concerning to me. Two things kill shocks - over-extension and bottoming out. In this case, you maybe overextending and the internal shock bumpstop is doing its job but it's not meant as a long term solution. Just my .02 cents worth!

That's quite possible. I do have the TRD coils on the top perch. As soon as I can get the rest of the funds together I'm going to be revamping the suspension and hopefully minimize the issue's. For now, as long as I don't blow these shocks as well, the replacement washers are more than strong enough. Lol.
